Not many people can hear it, but the 2nd movement of #18 was inspiration to slow movement of Beethovens 7th symphony. Im almost certain.

Wunderschöne und fehlerlose Interpretation dieser sieben fein oder perfekt komponierten Konzerte mit anmutigem doch gut artikuliertem Klang des genialen Soloklaviers sowie gut harmonisierten und perfekt balancierten Tönen anderer Instrumente. Alle zweiten Sätze klingen besonders schön und fast himmlisch. Der geniale Maestro dirigiert das ausgezeichnete Orchester im gut phrasierten Tempo und mit perfekt kontrollierter Dynamik. Alles ist wunderbar!

Had Mozart only composed his 18th piano concerto I would already rank him among the gifted classical composers. His genius is beyond comprehension.

I agree but even more so if it were only the 21st that he had written. That concerto has been haunting me since I first heard it at Indiana U. In 1978.

I love comment sections of Mozart's video. They only talk about Mozart and enjoy music, nothing else. I'm a huge fan of Bach, but sometimes get tired of all the pointless arguments and comparisons Bach lovers tend to make....like who's best, what's historically correct, can't listen other than Bach kind of stuff, and counterargument I myself try to make....lol. So I escaped from there to make my soul healed...And my wish is granted.... Thank you.

Your feelings are so relatable :) Mozart has been my utmost love in music but I adore Bach very much as well. Yes the comparison thing can be annoying to a certain degree especially some people take it like really seriously and aim to win (though i have no idea what do they win after all). Shouldn't we just be eternally grateful that these masters have graced our planet and enriched our lives and souls?

Though Mozart was directly referring to the concerti numbered 11,12,13. The ones in this recording that came nearest chronologically would be #9 K271 which came before Mozart's letter and #14 K449 which came after the letter.
