Kinda different for people. Some scream best (usually better aproach) when they're calm and relaxed in their body. Some go all out with emotion to scream and do amazing. But technique is key, and Oli sounds good but wrecked his voice almost.

HIHisLife To be honest I loved the energy and violence of this album. Definitely one of my favourites albums to headbang to, especially this song. But the reason why I still prefer Sempiternal over it is really cause of the new method of screaming Oli uses. The live performances are waaaaaay better now than they were before, they really improved on that. Surely for some (most people actually), the new screams are not as powerful as the one on this album but just look at this performance, he looks out of breath even though he's not running/jumping and unless you know the lyrics you can't really tell what he is saying. Check out the new live performances, his screams got maybe less powerful but more "clear" if I can say so.

Which one of his vocals? His growls? His vocal technique became better when he took lessons from Melissa Cross in 2012.

Damn 10 years ago! I remember when I first saw this video. Amazing how much they all have improved and how long they have gone. You can tell very well by now how deep the lyrics are for Oliver. A really dark phase. So glad they are doing fine now :)

Everyone that wants the old BMTH back. They don't want to do this kind of music anymore, they grew up, and that's fine, bc that's life. They're much older now, and they're doing what they want to do. It's just to accept what they are now, they are in fact amazing. No, it's not so heavy anymore, but the lyrics are perfect, the songs have meaning and that is for me the most important thing. And Oli seems so happy now, with Hannah and everything. That's more important than anything else. Why complain about it?

Exactly. Who even cares about the genre anymore? As long as it sounds good I'll like it.
