You can just feel the joy and energy bursting out of Jeremy as he takes his family around his beloved island.

The smile on Jeremy's face spoke volumes to me about how he not only grew up in Hawaii, but the immense joy it brought him as he shared things that he did as a child with the kids. Looks like Hawaii needs to be a yearly trip. I love seeing parents share their upbringing and memories with their children.

While born and raised in Ohio, the US Army took me to Scholfield Barracks on Oahu, where I remained for 30 years. Now retired back in Ohio, I really enjoyed seeing Jeremy take his family back to Paradise. Perhaps one of them might find this their future home one day like their Dad. I'll be returning back in 2 weeks in my annual visit. Come back every year...Your fans will appreciate the glimpse

Thank you for letting me see Pearl Harbor where my Great Uncle passes, Victor. My mother Vicky was named after him. Kauai was one of the best places I have ever had the privilege to visit for two weeks. Once in a life time memory the year before we loss our youngest son and an adventure we forever hold in our hearts. Happy birthday Eli!

I came to Oahu and was stationed at Schofield Barracks and Hickam Airforce Base. My daughter was born in Tripler Army Hospital, and I stayed for 7 years and tried extending again but was denied. I miss Hawaii, I had my parents fly out to have their first Honeymoon on the Big Island because they never ever had one and blessed them with a Circle Tour of the Big Island and Dinner Cruise..they loved every minute of it. Those memories and moments will always be cherish. My last wish, is to take my daughter back and show her Oahu her birth place and enjoy the island life for another moment in time. I am planning for the future our trip. God bless you all this brought back so many memories 🙏 ❤️ Thank you for sharing. ❤

Kinda made me tear up a bit. My Dad was a Pearl Survivor. My daughter was conceived on Oahu almost 40 years ago. And we were able to visit parts of the island base most can't because my Dad was with us. What an awesome trip for the family. Beautiful memories ❤

Amazing experience for you! I’m glad Jeremy could revisit his home. That’s always special. However I have to say that seeing Jeremy in his buffalo coat in the Idaho mountains with the snow is one of the most beautiful things ever!

So Glad Jeremey was able to bring his family to home after 12 years🏝️🌺🌋🌊🪸🐚🦞🦀 First time i came to Ohau was in 1963 -1964., I was then 14 1/2 yrs old. We lived in Lanika and Went to Kailua High School (9-12 grades) in 1963-1964. Then went back in 1982 to family friends granddaughters wedding at Waianae Park. I enjoyed going tea leaf sliding after it rained, Horse back riding in mountains and beach and pick fruit off trees and bushes when Horseback riding. Sea Life Park was getting built then. I was riding at horse stables if I remember correctly was Weaver Stables and interred into 1st State horse show! Thanks for the memories that are now treasures🌺💖💁🏻

I was at the Arizona Memorial in August 1978 - (College Choir Trip ) - the moment your filming started I was taken back to my experience.. so I had to go and pull out my album and read what I thought at the time.(I was 19 then..) : The memorial was beautiful - there was an awe inspiring silence. The feeling was sad and mysterious. I felt kind of "weird" on the memorial - I really felt the heavy presence of doom and sadness. Looking at the names on the wall really made an impact as well. The memorial is one of the most beautiful tributes to human life I have ever seen. --- (Almost 45 years later - seeing it through your lens .. those feelings came back.)

It’s so important to show your kids your roots. My kids know their mama comes from coal country in southeastern Ohio. Spent alot of time there. They know their history. So important. Hawaii is in my bucket list. So beautiful❤️

I went to high school at Leilahua High School on Oahu when my Dad was stationed at Ft. Schaffer. It was a very beautiful experience seeing all the sights again that I went to with my family.

Last summer, we took our girls for their 13th Birthday on a dream trip to Hawaii, Kauai. I had also never been. Hawaii captured our hearts. The culture, the land, the freedom of nature, and the time as a family was truly priceless. Watching our kids take on waves off the Napali Coast as the Dolphins jumped in our wake and seeing their excitement as they swam with Sea Turtles is something we will never forget. Hawaii was truly a paradise, but what made it that way, was the time as a family, the reminder that Ohana is everything, and the memories are a gift. Happy Birthday Eli!! ❤

My sister moved to the North Shore in the 60’s. I was able to visit in ‘73 & ate so much pineapple I got sores on my tongue ! I also love coconut & it was so cool finding them laying around all over where you could pick ‘em up & take home 👍

I'm so very happy that you bailed out of that brutal weather and took the family to Hawaii. The joy on their beautiful faces almost brought tears to my eyes. the trip down memory lane was awesome. I was there in 2009, the shave ice shop was amazing, then North shore to jump off the rocks, the AZ memorial (we didn't make it in time for a boat, but the workers let us go after hours since we were all service members). Beautiful Island. So glad your kids got to see where you grew up. The memories will last a lifetime. God Bless.

I just watched this episode and I was living vicariously through you all! I have such a similar story! I also grew up on Oahu and made the decision to move and raise my family on the mainland many years ago. We are homesteading here in New Mexico, a very different lifestyle to what I grew up with. What a great episode! And a big reminder to make it a point to go home to see family & share the early years of my life with the family I created ❤. I’ve only been back twice within the last 24 years 😢. I had happy tears of nostalgia watching this episode! Thank you so much for sharing ❤.
