Country stores were once the hub of rural communities where adults came to buy goods and catch up on the town gossip.

In 2015, I rented a cabin in Jamestown, TN. It was like stepping back in time to 1950s. Barely any cellar signal. Nobody had internet. People still printed directions and used maps. A lot of businesses only accepted cash. The owner of an old tire shop was watching Andy Griffith on an old black and white tube TV. Everybody was extremely nice.
