@@ny7294 :/ As pertains to this amplifier… a component version would seem to be in order. This’ is marked to Boomers. Most of them are not able to lift amplifiers this heavy. If the amplifiers are too heavy for the intended audience then it seems like a defeated effort. A discreet head would be interesting. It would require very little design effort.

@erikthompson7341 As a "boomer" I can attest that this amp sounds like absolute crap to me. It has no articulation and just lacks clarity and defeats the purpose of a great Les Paul with PAFs. The early Marshall Plexi circuits like JTM 45, the SV20 or even the Marshall Origin 20 or 50......THAT is the sound of classic rock / hard rock. If you want to cover the old song "spirit in the sky" with that farty sounding tone, this might even be too much for that. Who wants an Amp that sounds like you have a fuzz pedal going but you don't. Instead, you're plugged straight into the amp ?

This thing sounds messy and very unarticulate and just "farts" Overdrive with clarity, note-separation with bell-like tone is lost on this thing.. It defeats the very purpose of that PAF Les Paul sound. I will stick with my Marshall Plexi and JCM 800. The Mesa Boogie fillmore 25 or 50 is a great amp that sounds similar to that Plexi/Bassman sound. Seems like Gibson would want an Amp with their name on it that actually would work great with PAF humbucker or any humbucker guitar. This thing makes a guitar sound like a jumbo kazoo.
