The paper says the guy paid $70,880.00 with no miles. Has 15,000+ miles now and it's going to resale for $85, 000+ . I usually don't comment but Maybe I'm missing something 😂

wait a year there are tons of people who buy them now and won;t be able to keep up with the payments and ditch the car. estimated depreciation based on research i have done for this model is $30k in the first 5 years. these cars are used and are being sold for way more than original sticker. that used one with 15k miles is way more than the $75k original owner paid.

I get why the original owners are turning these cars, I get why the dealer is buying them to resell, what I don’t get is why anyone would pay this kind of premium rather than simply waiting a year and paying MSRP or less? Some folks have more dollars than sense!

After watching the prices that are so far out of bounds I would buy a beautiful C7 for $12,000 off MSRP before I would buy one of those that is 23 to 25,000 over MSRP.

Priced way too high. Justify this all you want but fact of the matter is that this is northing but price gouging. Factory is pumping them out right now. Hope CW gets stuck with a loss on each one of these.

$94,995 for basically a $60,000 Base C8 with 1000 miles. The original owners are losing an average of 20% depreciation after the 1st year of ownership. I don't see people buying a C8 as an investment

Finally somebody speaking the truth! And the Stingray is the most watered down corvette they make. No matter what you get in it it's the base model. You can see it has potential but it looks dry and straight up anorexic. Things won't get interesting until the Z06 and so on comes out. And when they do it'll wipe the smile off the face of everyone who bought one of these.

@@Stonefactor I got the 2019 c7 grandsport fully loaded for 62,900 in orange and couldn't be happier. These fools are gonna be depressed in two years when their car is worth 50-60k and z06 c8 is less than they paid for a base c8

All of these C8’s are marked up $15K to $25K. I guess that’s the premium you pay to get a used C8 now vs waiting a year for delivery. But these are not “good deals”! Those under $90K are bare bones base cars that msrp in the $60K range.

I totally get that most and when I say most people won’t buy these, but the few that will, are gonna get better deals at Corvette World than any other place. If you look online, people are asking 30-50k over MSRP.

Why would any idiot pay more than sticker for a used C8? It's not a limited production car, they will and are being made for 2021. It makes absolutely no sense. 85k for a non z51 1lt, that car should be 60-65k. Sorry I'll wait for 2021.

These prices are insane ! I just ordered my 2021 C8 corvette 1LT with some upgrades and I paid $64,200 and I get it on March 1, 2021 . I’ can wait a couple of months and save $20,000 !

I don't know why people are shelling out for these outrageous dealer mark ups for these BASE MODEL cars. How do the manufacturers or consumers let these new dealerships get away with this type of stuff?? MSRP is around the $60K's, and not to mention a car is a depreciating asset anyway. This would just be irresponsible to buy a used one at these prices. Wonder what's going to happen when the new ones come out and these cars are still on the lot.

you are like the people that say , "i remember when i could have bought that property for ??? , i can't believe it sold for $ ? million , How Much ? i paid $91 for a C8 in May of this year and feel like i stole it , and I may buy another 2020 C8 , why bc i can :-) Look in the mirror and admit this , I really can't afford a C8 .........ps - i remember when a local attorney purchased a Ford GT and paid $250 K + .. we all thought he was a fool , it is now worth $750K.....finally , the C8 is the only car I've owned that is better than the manufactures description , and i've owned many

@@billganas467 I’m definitely not one of those folks. All I’m saying is that it’s a lot of money for the base model car. Once a full run of the car with additional models comes out there may be some early adopters that are angry. If I had disposable cash I’d prolly say and do the same. Enjoy that car!

The Corvette hype is dying down. It’s about time. Thankfully, I jumped out and sold mine when prices peaked about one month ago. Made a small profit and enjoyed the vehicle. Unfortunately, during the time I owned it I realized what many others have which is - That it lacks Power and is an entry-level Corvette. To me, it lacked some fun factor and never really hit the spot. For the meantime, I have moved on to a 2020 Ford mustang GT 500 and I am enjoying all 760 hp of it. The fun factor is through the roof. I am in line to order the C8 ZO6. That vehicle should fit the bill if Chevrolet get it right. I would never pay the prices that these base level regardless of trim Corvettes are going for at the moment. Just wait till January and they should be at or below MSRP.

At 495 hp the c8 doesnt lack power. What most think might be a lack of power is a chassis designed to easily handle 700 hp so there is no false drama. Just my opinion as Ive put on over 1600 miles in the past 6 weeks . Best corvette yet in my opinion.

Love the videos and visits to Corvette World! Been there many times and bought my ‘07 C6 there and Robert is awesome! Looking on autotrader this morning and there are quite a few C8’s available and seems that prices have peaked and coming down. Thoughts?

The prices have peaked, but I don’t think they have started falling just yet. Maybe after the 21’s start being built they will fall, but I don’t think they will before then.

@@Broommaker19 yeah I just got an used 2LT with 1500 miles for only $55k. Someone here in California who left the country did not sell his c8 and left it with a friend. His friend can’t sell it to dealers because he has no POA, and the dude doesn’t even know how to list his car on websites. I bought it with a $20k discount 😂

I paid a premium for one of the very first Camaro’s on the second day they were out. It was really cool having such a long waited on car and it got tons of attention. BUT it made me feel a bit like a chump for paying the extra. Weighing the cool factor vs the chump factor I likely wouldn’t do it again.

I can see why he has so much inventory in his shop. Pricing is TOO HIGH for USED CARS! I rather wait 1 year, preorder directly and wait for NEW CAR for same price. Only fools would buy here. So by buying cars here you would be helping the original owner to flip again and Corvette World to make an extra 5K. You are helping two people for a USED car.

To the ones complaining about the price and saying that they’re “ base” models. The c8 “ starts” at 60k but when you start adding things like a $7,500 spoiler,GT2 seats, etc... it won’t be a 60k car.A brand new loaded out c7 z51 was around 70msrp brand new but you can’t say “ oh wait it’s a base model and it should be 55k”

Hey Mike, good insight into this dealership and C8's. I think the red stitching on the black is fantastic. I've seen some of the stitching on the passenger side central control piece that divides the passenger and the driver not actually matching up. Have you noticed that or are they ok? I think this is one quality control issue that GM needs to make sure is matching up. What's your opinion?

For all those saying they won't pay more than MSRP, no problem. Wait time is currently 2022 delivery unless you ordered earlier this year. Eventually the market will catch up, and prices will level, but I'm on the inside, and I'm telling you, it will not be dramatic. It will be gradual, but remain fairly high for the several months to a year at a minimum. That is the reality due to demand-availability. Hate the market, but love the car, then enjoy the car. Why all hate if you can wait?

I don’t understand why everyone is upset about the price of these cars. It’s called SUPPLY and DEMAND. The people that buy these cars are not worried about the price. They have plenty of money and want one NOW. There driving while everyone else is waiting.

I guess my idea of a deal isn't the same as these people. I think a deal is paying thousands LESS than msrp, not 30,000 more than msrp. These cars will depreciate by 40-50k in a year, or 2 at the most, when production gets up to speed. The intelligence of these buyers is suspect unless they have so much money that loss is equal to me dropping my snickers bar.

I also will not be buying from a dealer who rapes their customers because they have a short supply side car. I was kind'a think'n the Blade Silver Coupe was talking to you. It was to me as well. As to the Convertibles, I'm also thinking, like most everyone else, the Convertible needs a see-through engine bay hood, but if the price was right I'd be tempted because I believe there will be a factory see-through down the road that might possibly be able to be retro-fitted to it and/or by the time Corvettes at Carlisle 2021 comes a vendor or two might just have their own see-through hood. Staying with the engine bay for just a minute further, can the engine bay factory LED lighting be ordered separately if the car doesn't come with it and be installed after the fact? It would probably be expensive to do, but just curious. Or has someone already come out with such a kit? An after-market kit I'm sure would be a big a seller, especially at Carlisle where you could buy it and get it installed all at once. Until later . . . . enjoy the rest of your weekend.

Nice job on the video and audio on a Corvette World awesome job my favorite choice is the ZR1 and white with blue Cavaliers what two tone black and blue seats 2011/// also I admire Bob running after the customers the way he ran on your video he gets that money he chasing that money💵💵$$/// right now I'm happy( I'm happy what a 1997 John Greenwood C5 white with white leather seats black convertible top upgrade the motor the LS3 with supercharged old school!!!👍💵

Brink of Speed said at the beginning of the video that Corvette World has to pay over MSRP to buy the C8's. Therefore the total makeup from MSRP could be $10 to 20 grand, but CW's markup is only $5g.

$114K for stiching so attroicious you just have to laugh at the utter dogshit quality of GM. Has a stock C8 run under 4 seconds on Dragy. Horsepower obssessed was running 11.8 to 12.1 quarters. AWFUL!!!!!

First I want to say that I love what you done to your car it looks amazing and its one of the kind. I'm getting a red mist tint coat metallic convertable. You have seen a lot of c8 what do you think will go better red seats or red and black

I’m seeing BASE models - LT1 Stingrays without the Z51 package - listed online for $20k above MSRP. It’s ridiculous. Supply and demand my ass, that’s just ridiculous.

I think your buddies at corvette world are shooting you a line. I tried to sell them my new HTC and they offered 8K above MSRP. They have way more than 4-5k above that, which is fine. But that is not what you are relating.

Am I missing something here? You talk about the Z 51 like it's a ZR1. I'm really not a big fan of the new vetts. I think they've wasted their time on the Mid Engine, when they already had near perfect weight distribution from front to back. Have you ever seen a Mid Engine Ferrari with understeer in a tight turn? Where the front tires won't grip good enough. It does look like a Ferrari. And it's official, most people have more money than sense. Can't imagine spending tens of thousands more, for a used Corvette, all because I can't wait. You know most of the people that have them, don't know how to drive them, right? If they didn't have traction control probably nearly everyone would wreck them. Right off the lot. I can't wait to see if I can smoke one in my C6 z51. Okay, peace and love to all and drive it like you stole it.

This whole C8 markup/pricing is just wrong. I’ll consider one in a couple years. Having seen what happened to Hellcat values, C8’s will be there soon enough.

If I can't get this with sticker price I'm just gonna buy a Mustang. This is not an investment. Give it a few years until everyone get serve. I may get low mi 2021 in 2023-24 when everyone selling their old c8 to get newer model.

Even without carbon fiber, the GT1 seats in red are gorgeous! I think better looking than the GT2 seats.

Hey how long does GM plan to make the C8? Do you know? Have they announced anything ? 2025 sounds like a short run or do you think more like 2028? Because I will definitely be in the market for at least a Z06 by 2024 the earliest or ZR1 Maybe a Zora if available Mike
