The only proper beach in Brisbane is Pandanus Beach in Wynnum. All the other beaches are in Redland, Redcliffe and the Gold and Sunshine Coasts, which are their own cities.

@@JamesDavy2009 Whilst its a bit of a poor excuse for one, technically you've forgotten/missed Nudgee Beach, which most definitely is also in Brisbane. There's also a couple of sandy strips along the river, that whilst I wouldn't personally be keen to swim there (mostly due to shark factor/tidal current), definitely qualify as a beach. At least they did before the floods, dunno what they're like now.

I've never come across someone ending their sentence with 'A' either. I drive all around Brisbane both north and south every day for work and I see lack of indication every day on both sides of the river, mostly from Ubers and utes, sometimes the odd European car. It's everywhere, sadly.

The reason it's overpriced is that everything is spread out in Brisbane. The further the distance the higher the fare.

The first one sounds understandably frustrating, but the second makes complete sense. They would have slowed as they're legally required to as per the agreement they have to be allowed to drive on the road. Most road work areas (particularly down the coast as they're doing a lot of work but also previously near Caloundra) cause the roads to be very narrow, rough, and sometimes aggressively bumpy like down the coast recently. The problem is when people go under the posted 80kmph speed, AND there's merges happening.

They call it XXXX because they can't spell BEER.
