Birthday can be discribe bit different way in Korea, birthday can be written as 생일 in Korean, 생 means birth but at the same time it means a “life”, acknowledgments of someone or something’s alive, and 일 is a day so that’s the way I would put it instead of being so rude to other cultural methods when you don’t even have their cultural backgrounds of it.

she's born in 2001😅 she's mixed dutch-canadian (dad) and korean (mom) her western age is 18 but her korean age is 19 ! somi debuted temporarily on PRODUCE101 season1 as ioi but the group disbanded after the contract ended in 2017. she was a JYP trainee but terminated her contract and signed with YG a couple of weeks later !

Somi was in JYP before and she was put in Sixteen which was the survival show that made Twice. She almost made it but got Eliminated. Then she went on Produce 101 the first season and won 1st place becoming the center for I.O.I. After I.O.I disbanded, she went on a show called “Sister Slam Dunk” with Minzy from 2ne1. Then they released a song called “Unnie’s right” (A Bop) during the show, Somi states “why am I always doing these types of temporary programs” which she cried. And a few months ago she was rumoured to debut with JYP’s new GG which was ITZY but then she left JYP which shocked everyone and signed under The Black Label, which is under YG. Now she’s here debuting as a soloist and IM HERE FOR IT

She's part of the survival show SIXTEEN. She almost debuted with twice but got eliminated in the final round. Joined at produce 101 and debuted with IOI. disbanded after a year. joined variety shows. debuted as UNNIES (from a variety show). almost debuted with ITZY members. transferred to The Black Label from JYP. Now this. it's been almost 3 years waiting for this debut. Good thing she never disappoints.
