I think I just figured something out! She said it was seven years of people doubting her, when she risked going into acting and writing after quitting her Goldman Sachs job. So at the beginning, she went in blind into this new career, experimenting and navigating and has come out the other side with sight. This is what happened to Prairie! She went missing as a blind person but 7 years later, she was found and had sight. All the while she was collaborating and experimenting, just like Brit!

This is exactly why I loved THE OA and shocked me so much, when she got locked in the basement, I was sure that the cops will find them or they wont ever get out, NEVER, EVER EVER,, could have premeditating such a thing as THE MOVEMENTS concept... that twist was SUBLIME, I was tired of predictable plots, but how could I predict that?? and at the same time, a WHOLE NEW WORLD and door opened right there that could change the film and shows industries, adding new concepts to storytelling, and what a sofisticated and complex twist they created there, which made a new paradigma of filmmaking. The OA is understimated masterpiece which carries new laws and new paradigmas in film industry as sublime as my fav writters like Tarantino, Nolan, Lynch and Shyamalan made in some point of film history.

The OA demands that you pay attention in such a way that you just can't let it go. The suspense, then payoff, cycle continues through each episode in both seasons. I am shocked and enamored all at once. Can not wait until the next season!

Erm, wait a second -- [Spoilers for Season 2 - don't read if you haven't seen it] * * * * * Is it just me, or is it strange that she's wearing the colour blue? Not just any blue, a strong blue. Jason Isaacs was wearing a strong blue in his recent interviews as well. Blue is the colour of the third dimension (purple for the first, red for the second). There is blue light, blue surfaces, blue clothing in the third... Have they been playing out the game 'IRL' for a couple of years??

I just don't think that people have a more sophisticated sense of story today. Somebody who eats at McDonalds daily will notice when there is too much or too little catsup, they'll complain if it's been sitting under a heat lamp too long or if the fries are underdone, but they do not have a more sophisticated sense of food. They'll say, "Burger King fries are shit", and to people who don't put crap into their mouths it's totally laughable to hear. Kinda like, "DC movies suck", as though Marvel and Disney were high art. With that out of the way, I really love Series 1 of The OA.

I hope she writes a book - a novel challenging conventional thinking because that's where discovery lies. And then turn it into longform streaming. Brit Marling is unique and her skills are obvious. I was simply blown away by the first and second series and dumbfounded by Netflix's call to cancel the third. What are they thinking - that me and fans of OA will accept Bollywood versions of sci-fi classics??? - because that is what is happening. I know I'm a couple of years behind this waterfall of bad calls by Nflix execs - but I had to say my piece.
