@@christoph7668 Der Schweizer Auftritt war absolut fantastisch. Song, Performance, Ausstrahlung, Gesang, die hohen und tiefen Töne im Wechsel und das während er sich durchgehend bewegt und balanciert hat. Das hatte nichts mit dem Outfit zutun (auch wenn es geslayed hat!)

@@Kratogo Es gab so viel bessere künstler. Jeder weiss dass er gewonnen hat weil er non binär ist. Der auftritt war ok aber mehr auch nicht. Die Meinung ist auch nicht sonderlich exklusiv kannst ja einfach mal in die Kommentare unter dem Song gucken. Und auf einer scheibe tanzen, du tust so als hätten andere nicht auch krasse und schwere Performances gemacht 😂. Der Irländer Auftritt kam auch nur sl hich weil das Mädel sich als non binär ausgibt. Der Auftritt war nämlich schrecklich und ekelhaft

The problem with songs that everyone likes: nobody spends money to vote for them. The special songs get votes because they have a dedicated fan base that absolutely wants them to win. They activate family, friends, and co-workers to vote. So, even if 50% of the public hates the song and 40% doesn't care about, a song gets a lot of votes.

@@Kilandil That's not the rule, the real rule is Germany's responsible broadcaster NDR has no idea about Eurovision and completely lacks the passion for the contest, so we send Radiopop without a show to the biggest TV show in the world and wonder why it doesn't work. 😂

Stimme, Leidenschaft... großartig, mitreißend. Das schlichte drum herum brachte das Lied und den Sänger zur Geltung. Verwirrende Lichteffekte hätten nur abgelenkt. Eine mitige Entscheidung. Grüße aus Österreich 👍👍👍👍👍👍

There are people here in Germany who are ashamed of the singer. This is so terrible because they are ashamed of him just because he doesn't conform to the common ideal of beauty. People just don't learn anything. I think the lyrics of the song fit. There are even German KZfaq bloggers who denigrate him. I like this song for the same reasons you mentioned.

Das ist mir neu, dass der Sänger wegen seines Aussehens abgewertet wird. Es ist doch vielmehr der Song. Nett, radiotauglich aber er geht vollkommen unter bei der Konkurrenz. Für den ESC braucht es einen Titel der aus der Masse heraussticht. Und noch besser, der Ohrwurmqualiät hat. Ferner muss der Interpret glaubwürdig sein, sprich der Song muss aus dem Herzen des Interpreten kommen und der Zuseher muss es fühlen. Das ist hier nicht der Fall. Und auf Grund des Bewertungssystems beim ESC bleibt nur ein hinterer Platz über.

Ich kenne den Sänger nicht persönlich, daher kann ich nicht beurteilen, ob das Lied zu seiner Persönlichkeit passt oder nicht. Ich finde den Text aber gut und nicht oberflächlich.

@@hamtaro0810 Hallo. Das liegt auch an der Punktevergabe. Punkte erhalten ja nur die jeweils 10 bestbewerteten Songs in einem Land. Das Teil dürfte überall bestenfalls im Mittelfeld landen, d. h. keine Punkte. Zum Sänger, ja er kann sogar singen aber ich nehm es ihm nicht ab. Conchita, Jordie oder Loreen beim ersten Gewinn und selbst unsere letzte Gewinnerin hat mir ihrer frischen jugendlichen Ausstrahlung überzeugt. Hier singt ein junger Mann halt einen netten Song.

As a german I don't know who he is and where he comes from as I usualy don't follow the Eurovision. Seeing him here for the first time. But I have to say, that this is the first decent act we had in a loooooong time. But that wont matter as the Eurovision "votings" are purely political and we will be on one of the last places as always because the world seems to not like us.

Er wohnt im Raum Minden-lübbecke. Ich traf ihn 2020 auf einem Sommerfest in Herford, wo er als Straßenmusiker nachmittags und abends auf der Bühne auftrat. Er war sehr nett. Ich habe so gar ein Foto mit ihm gemacht. Er kann sehr gut singen live. ☺️ Ich hoffe, dass die Politik endlich Mal ausgeblendet wird. Er hat es selbst geschafft, wo er jetzt ist.

This song is alright. A little too close to mainstream radio stuff to have a chance at ESC. Verses are alright, pre-chorus is fire, chorus is lame and too repetitive and bridge is quite nice. There was a huge outcry in Germany when he won the selection process and not Ryk with Oh Boy (definitely should give it a listen). Ryk's song might not be for everyone, but it was special enough to actually have a chance at doing well. Isaak's song is not good enough to overcome political influence and we will likely end up at the bottom of the table again - maybe somewhere in the middle, but there is a 0% chance this song wins.

First time i heard this song (as a German ) but i realy like it. ESC has become very political und unfair (especially when it comes to Germany). I hope for ISAAK the song doesn't hit the last place. Like I said... ESC has become very unfair and political. :/

I'm not so sure about it being so political... The last country who would complain ceaselessly about unfairness was the UK - and then Sam Ryder came in second. Of course there are the obvious things like the Cyprus - Greece exchange, but mostly people will vote for 1) things that really stand out and 2) things that resonate with them culturally (so more often from similar cultures), although that also seems to be lessening. Germany tends to send things that are very very far from the worst but also seem designed to be inoffensive rather than to gather staunch fans. And with the voting system as it is, that often results in no one wasting their votes on your song. I think it's wise to bring Stefan Raab back in and think about what works at Eurovision rather than just what sounds like a nice song.

As a German eurovision fan (huge huge fan) I can say that I really do like this song but it's just not for eurovision. It's not as catchy as you would think and the competion is hard because they are far more catchy. I think we'll get last again but you should react to 'The Code' by Swiss non-binary Nemo. (Of course competing for Switzerland) They have a really catchy song and is first in the betting odds. Their song is about them finding themselves. Always on the run is not a Eurovision song. It's a generic radio song, which just isn't something that is typical "Eurovision". Still I like our song but it's, as I said, not for Eurovision. Ryk, who was fan favourite, should've won and it's just an amazing song and should've won. We could have had a chance not to get dead last but of course, as we are Germany, we didn't choose it. Good luck to Isaak because he does have an amazing voice but the song isn't really eurovision-y. Btw it's 27th in the odds with a chance of winning less than one percent and the odds are usually pretty accurate.

Wenn Ryk der Liebling der Fans gewesen ist , warum haben dann nicht alle für ihn angerufen? Ich fand Ryks Lied ehrlich gesagt ziemlich langweilig und die Bühnenaufmachung war sehr düster. Ich kann mir nicht vorstellen dass das beim ESC angekommen wäre. Alles Geschmackssache.

I guess his voice is impressive enough to not become last place yet again but i'm not sure it will perform much better really. I think our best shot was an application that our radio stations didn't want because it's not radio playable. Electric Callboy would have been top 5 easily.

@@astrologym1939 If Loreen had contested for Germany she‘d make the last place…..the ESC is not known as a quality contest, and her song or her voice was not near Isaak and Always On The Run. Seems as if it needs other qualities to win than a good song or a good voice.

Please don‘t get me wrong, no pun intended, I love the song and I wish Isaak as much sucsess as possible. He has got a great voice and a good song, and he is authentic and sincere singing about his adh. I even like the range of his voice and the different expressions, it is really emotional. But who wants honesty in show buizz…..

I‘m not a metalhead at all and I agree with you. Not only were they waaaaaaay better than this, they were really, really, REALLY good and I‘ll never understand why it was such a disastrous result in the end (point wise). Lord of the Lost presented us very well. I was and am proud of this entry.

bro 💀 It's not as boring/cringe as most songs of the last years (Jendrik/Sisters) And I also think it is a good song for ESC, if it came from Sweden etc, it could get top 10. But sadly people see "Germany" and instantly say: bad!

@@p_pingu7809 I did not say cringe. If it would be cringe it would be less boring. And cringe songs work better at esc than boring songs. Because of the voting system a song you don't remember is worse, than a cringe song, that gets points for fun sometimes. In most years Germany has send boring radio friendly songs and rightfully got punished for it. I see no different outcome with this song

@@pixelbartus Yes, it's the same genre as the other songs, but this song is better, because his voice is great, the message is good, and it can be remembered better, because of the chorus. I think it will get top 20-15 (which isn't good, but would end our streak of getting last)

@@p_pingu7809 in my opinion that are two of our problems. First: don't go with the most common genre if you don't have such an outstanding song within this genre, that it blows you away. (Yes, he has a great voice but I don't think this is a song that showcases his voice enough. This voice with a big song like "rise like a phoenix" could work. I don't have a problem with him, but with the song.) The second problem is, that the NDR is afraid of taking risks. The idea of 15 to 20 is good enough does not give us the chance for an all or nothing song. What is stupid, because we got nothing with this approach several times. so taking risks would not be risky, because the worst thing that could happen is the same thing that happened with the other approach. Yes, you can say that they tried it last year and it didn't work out. But this was only one try. The radio friendly pop version didn't work out for years
