It feels like Brit actually understood the lyrics and message of the song, while Jojo just wanted to advertise her new persona through it. The imagery is a lot different, the widow aesthetic symbolizing her mourning the death of her relationship while talking to a priest trying to get forgiveness. While Jojo looked like a dollar store KISS member while humping background dancers... Her message was "this is the new me" paying attention to the "oh I'm saying 'I'm a bad girl' and cursing 🤭🤭🤭" just completely ignoring the "thou shall not cheat" moral of the song.

It was bad because of the context that the lyrics were referring to. Brit's version fits the video's narrative and it's mature theme, but Jojo's just looked like a diss track to her ex and the dark lyrics doesn't fit her when all of us know all she did in the past was being an energetic rainbow bright girl.

Brit's voice is soooo much better than Jojo's. Both versions are pretty heavy-handed with the autotune, but underneath the autotune you can still hear that Brit has a beautiful, soulful voice unlike Jojo. I'm excited to hear Brit's new album
