Mariah Idrissi set out to visit and learn more about Britain’s First Mosque. On her journey, she was introduced to the story of Abdullah Quilliam, the founder of Britain’s First Mosque. He was a man who found solace and healing through the faith of Islam and shared it with his community.

Alhamdulillah so did I 😊 I became Muslim in my heart in 2000 and officially with witnesses, once I managed to move to a Muslim Area, in 2001 just before 9/11 and I got the special mans operation that Ibrahim عليه السلام did upon himself literally a few months later. It’s been about 24 years and still I’m constantly amazed at this religion the more I have studied the Sharia the more I have realised what a mercy it is upon the Muslims! Alhamdulillah I feel blessed to be a Muslim…

If you wish to know more about her please read the book " Beghums of Bhopal," by Shahriar Khan who sadly passed away last Friday. Shahriar Khan happens to be the great grandson of the Bhegum..

Amazing Documentary. There is a possibility that Muslims in Britain might have been before 1889 because there might have been trade between Ottoman Empire and Britain. However not sure if there is a record which can prove this.
