In the future can you state that you’ll need another computer BEFORE we get to that step. I don’t understand how you didn’t think people would follow step by step.

Unfortnately this didn't work, after re-installing the driver, the same message comes up - No valid IP configuration

Ended up uninstalling my wifi

It works so great. After I did those command promt things and restart the computer, the network came back. I dont need to follow futher steps that are shown in this video. Thanks a lot. Works better than i expected. 🙂👍

At this point ive just accepted that my laptop will never connect to the internet while using ethernet.

Careful if unsinstalling the network driver, you will need a second device with internet connection to download the drivers from.

@Britec09 hi, I appreciate the effort you put into making a tutorial to help others. Unfortunately for me in my windows 10, once I followed the first two steps, my network status hasn't been working at all, like if it is "Not connected" no matter what I do. And I keep getting an error code "The operation failed as no adapter is in the state pernissible for this operation" once I use the command prompt at 3:46. And it's like my Network Adapter is completely curropted, like it has the symptoms of my Ethernet cable being disconnected, but the lights in the port light up good, and I retired everything, then tried a different approach, where I reseted the computer, turn it off for a while, got the program "driveridentifier" did an offline scan, installed the new drivers that it recommended for me about the Network Adapter, then I repeat all of the steps with the new Network Adapter drivers and still no luck :p I'm not sure what to do anymore, I'm sorry to bother you, but may you lend me your assistance please? :)

For those of you who do not have a second computer, just tether your phone to the PC via USB or Bluetooth tethering to download the drivers to that troubled machine. Also it's always a best bet to watch a video through all the way before following the instructions folks.

Though it wasn't without issues....at the point where you said the PC would show "network connected", mine still showed "unknown network"...and prior to that when you walked me thru the CMD commands, I wasn't getting any IP address assigned to the PC at all where you were.....still I muddled thru.... I went thru all your steps thru replacing the driver and....NOTHING! Then I remembered that when I first started having the issue, I turned my virus protection (AVAST) to "offline mode" thinking that would somehow help disable AVAST for the fix....WRONG!!! Once I turned this mode OFF again, all was well! Your calm, cool presentation style helped greatly! Thanks much!!!!

After having the same problem, none of these tips worked for me. I ended up logging into my sky router and changing from 'gigabyte ethernet' to 'fast ethernet' and boom, it worked

Ok so for some reason, when i made it to 3:49, it says "an error occured while releasing interface ethernet : an address has not been associated with the network endpoint.", so what do i do then? Edit: ok so i eventually got it to work about a week or 2 later, i guess for me my router literally kinda just exploded ob the inside. It was an "older" model from 2014 i think, and i guess it got too old? Literally what the guy from our service said and just told us he would give our family 2 router just cause

I have an X201 Thinkpad. The ethernet has a yellow triangle in it on DM, I've tried everything and can't get it to work. There appears to be no available Windows 10 drivers for it.

That feel when you follow a process step by step, only to uninstall your network drivers without having another computer to get the drivers, nor do I know the name of the driver. I guess I'm an idiot 😐

I’ve had this problem multiple times and it continues to occur every so often. I’ve fixed it myself through various methods. The easiest fix I found was contacting my ISP and having them guide me through the process of re connecting me to the internet. Hope this helps someone in the future that also haves this problem. :)

I use the short way, in w7 , modify nic parameters, if ip assigned, then turn to dhcp, if dhcp, then i assign an ip to see it connects. then shutdown pc, restart. assign dhcp or fixed ip depending. that's it. cheers!

I’ve done everything in this video up to 3:43, after I put that command in it says “ an error occurred while releasing interface Ethernet: an address has not yet been associated with the network endpoint”. I’m not sure what to do at this point, I’ve tried 3 Ethernet cables, reset my pc, took it into a pc repair place and it worked completely fine there, but at home my computer is the only thing that can’t stay connected to the internet, we’ve tried the Ethernet cables on other computers and it works, and everyone else has no issue with the internet.

Guys.. Just manually add IP, DNS, Subnet mask, Gateway in Ipv4 and problem solved. Need me 3 hours to figure this alone
