British Army Major SHOCKED by Korean “PX” (Army Convenience Store) Food!?!

Күн бұрынToday we take Major Charles and Rev. Chris, the British Twins, to a Korean Army PX. A unique type of convenience store in the Korean military where everything is cheaper! The Korean soldiers have made some unbelievable recipes from the food selection they sell there, so they cook up some of their favourites for the twins to try!!

오늘은 영국 쌍둥이, 찰스 소령님과 크리스 신부님을 모시고 한국 군대 PX에 갑니다. 저도 처음 알았는데 한국 병사분들이 거기서 파는 제품들로 진짜 엄청난 레시피들을 개발하셨더라구요!! 그중에 최애 메뉴들을 병사분들이 직접 쌍둥이를 위해 요리(?)해주셨답니다!!

He might have went abroad to study when he was in high school. I got to meet some international Korean students when I was in boarding school and they learn English very quick and adjust well. After like a year or so, they don't even have much of an accent anymore

I am a Korean student, and I think he is particularly good at English conversation. But most Korean soldiers can speak English. English is essential for Korean curriculum, and we learn English grammar and conversation with native English teachers.

@@DilettanteThat In the Military Memes video on JOLLY. He tells Josh and Ollie that while sitting on a desk inside a sangar (basically a small guard tower) he heard a crack. He calls HQ to ask if someone heard that crack and if anyone around was doing anything that might make cracking sounds. HQ calls back and says that was a sniper taking shots at him. Major Charles then just slowly moves back and away from that desk.

Can Captain Ahn & some of the soldiers appear in future episodes together ??? Also , if Major Charles ever comes back to Korea , I hope he can check the Korean War Museum. The British military aided S.Korea during the Korean War and I believe Major Charles can also experience pride in the British military even in Korea :)

저는 이 그림이 저는 참 벅차다고 느낍니다... 많은 분들은 그냥 영국군이 한국군대에 놀러와서 맛있는 걸 먹는다고 느끼실 수 있지만, 사실 군인신분으로 타국 군사시설에 들어온다는건, 국가간의 신뢰가 없이는 있을 수 없는 일이죠. 어쩌면 영국과 한국의 관계가 아직도 굳건하다는걸 상징하는 것 같습니다. 한국전쟁에서 대한민국의 자유민주주의 정부를 위해 앞장서주셨던 영국(영연방)국 군인분들께 경의를 표합니다.그리고 영국을 비롯한 총 17개국 군인분들께 진심으로 감사드립니다.

I got one hear I tried with my friends if your brave enough! : 3 teaspoons of gravy granules 1 self raising flour 1 hot chocolate powder 1 crunchy peanut butter And add boiling water One sip and they gave up though it was more yogurt than drink tbh I got two down me.

As someone who regularly puts chips on my pizza and gets teased for it, this was incredibly validating to watch lol. But in all seriousness, watching this series on you guys visiting the Korean Army base was really entertaining and educational. Seeing how wholesome, friendly, and respectful both parties were to one another just shows how we don't always have to be in conflict with people who come from different cultures. This actually means a lot when they're sharing their secrets with you Grew up in an international school and the Korean kids all had their handicrafts or snacks (five stones, how to fold a claw, etc etc) and other stuff And they REFUSED and made sure to warn one another never to share w non-Koreans. The only few who got to were made to promise they'd never share it outside and only their closest friends lmao its crazy

찰스가 마지막쯤 병사들에게 고개숙여 인사하는게 인상깊네요. 보통 서양분들은 고개숙이는 인사법을 모르시는데 관찰해서 고마움을 표현해주시는게 괜히 더 존중받는 느낌ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㄱㅋㅋㅋㅋ 더욱더 팬이 되었습니다

I’m an old fart of 55 who was never in the forces but I’ve been utterly charmed by these videos. Spent a huge amount of time in Korea so know them well (and like them) and many of my friends are in the British Army so this is a confluence of interests. Love how these soldiers have learnt a bit of Korean and how warm the relationship is between the forces.

I deeply appreciate how wonderfully wholesome and educational this channel is. I am so thrilled to see people from the Western Hemisphere such as yourselves take such interest into a country that’s not your own and have this genuine love for it as if it is your home are trying to protect and advocate for it. I've kinda adapted to both chips and crisps, chips and fries.... I call crisps chips at times, also chips as fries depending on the cut. Like shoestrings could be called fries or chips but straight cut is ONLY "chips" to me. Do you get it..or is that confusing?

I’m not sure why I love these so much. It’s like this really entertaining combo of positive culture exposer, adventure, honesty, and just…. An overall fun experience. We should all be so lucky to experience culture in such a positive open inclusive nonjudgmental way.

Aww, it's over? :( I enjoyed this series of videos SO much and I'll actually kinda miss the Korean soldiers. It felt like I'd just started getting to know their personalities a bit. 제대 후 20년이 지났지만 그 때가 가장 젊고 힘있고 작은 것에도 행복했던 때였습니다. 어쨌거나 제대하면 하고 싶은 일이 많았으니까요. 제대 후의 홀가분 한 기분은 정말 좋았습니다.

This series is the BEST! I love the honest expressions on each other's food. The matching one of the Korean soldiers eating British rations, along with this one should be shown to all soldiers for a good laugh at each other. Well Done
