Wolfy 3942 if u look ok and are fit u should be fine bmi can be rubbish cos muscle weighs more than fat so u can be young but proper hench an the bmi says ur overweight. If u can run 2km without stopping an do 40 push-ups as a rep u should be good but don't stop there obviously make sure u go harder on urself ini

Yea, I remember that, one sausage and one bacon. Wow how much it has changed regards food. I rember buying chocolate from NAFFI to get calories in me. The food was disgraceful. My Father came on my Pass out and got 2 sausages & 3 bacon. He was promptly told to put it back. I was so embarrassed. He couldn't believe I'd done all that training on 1, sausage and 1, bacon.

Do you take part in phys every morning during and after your phase training? If so what do you have to do every morning and is it optional if you would rather do your own training in a gym? Thank you in advance, would help to know as I’m looking at joining up next year :)
@Nikita-lj7oo
@Nikita-lj7oo 5 жыл бұрын
You do a lot of phys in particular in Phase 1 & 2 training, that's not optional at all! And after your training you are required to maintain a good level of fitness (need to pass the annual fitness tests) and you do what you're told to do, sounds hard but it's necessary to get you where you need to be and able to do your job. But it's also a lot of 'fun' as you grow as a person and realise what you can achieve. Good luck!

If you struggle with 2k man you need to get out there and run 4 days a week not being able to run 2k without stopping is not good mate. A high standard of phys will get you places in the army .

In December that’s when I’m 15 years and 7 months and I’m going to apply for Harrogate afc for September 2020 for the royal artillery course. I’m just wondering what the requirements are to get in and what the assessment consists of?

Joseph Fawcett yea, I’ve done loads of research and I’ve seen other people’s reviews and they all seem to be different from the ones that I’ve seen so I’m not 100% sure and I don’t want to be training the wrong things so when I get there I’m useless

@@leahalexandra3517 2km run - 11mins 30, medicine ball throw - 3.1 meters, mid thigh pull - 70kg. That's to get into Harrogate but to pass out of Harrogate your 2km run time must be - 10mins 45. Hope this helped.

GrimMoney5o 99 As a recruit you pay for your meals but it’s instantly taken out of your pay at the end of the month. You won’t notice it gone

How come some could drop out thought it was mandatory?
@Fabziy
@Fabziy 5 жыл бұрын
It wasn't recruits doing the RFT(E) test but staff checking out a 2km route that may be used during the test. The 2km is a mandatory test element.

As a recruit during basic training it is. But you are paid less during training than when you’re in the field army.
