I think incorpatiing stories of local people would be a great addition. So many channels are rather narcissistic-all about the person, rather than about the place or the people. It would set your channel apart and be interesting.

The best thing about travelling alone is that people tend to be less afraid to approach you for a chat. You can easily get people into a conversation by simply asking them if they know about some local secret places that they'd be willing to share with you and then simply carry on from there. I totally agree that meeting people and hearing their stories is simply a cherry on top of all the other adventures during your tour. Just a thought I wanted to share with you! Must add: Loved the shot you did when arriving at Mayson lake, thumbs up for that!

Great addition on adding the people you meet…yes it’s difficult because some don’t want to be on camera. - but those that will…it pretty cool for their stories….keep them coming!!!

I always learn something when viewing your videos. In my very limited motorcycle adventures, I always find that it's more than just the gear, the scenery, or the roads, it's all about the people you meet along the way. Thanks for bringing your adventures to us.

I’ve really enjoyed this series. It’s easy to underestimate the effort involved, but it’s an inspiration and actually, a little escapism for me, living in the over crowded uk. I still enjoy riding, for the most part after 40 years, but I’m always chasing that riding dream which I’m never going to find here…. at least not on this scale. This is the next best thing. It reinforces a sense of adventure that we should never lose, in whatever way. Good work 🙂✌️

Absolutely, a huge amount of work. I understand the escapism part as I dream of that too even though I live on Vancouver Island for 25yrs now. It attracts many to the island. It’s so close to me yet so far - I don’t seem to have the time to enjoy longer motorbike trips. Sterling’s work is golden and cures some of that need. I just recently found his channel and it’s a gem! Thank you for sharing your experiences.

These episodes just get better and better. Your drone filming is incredible...that shot over the Fraser River and the bridge...wow! The riding, the nature, and the people you meet, this is wonderful. Really appreciate your humble and relaxed manner. It seems like every episode gives me more and more to think about. I have a 4-month ride coming up in South America and I'm gleaning everything I can from your experience.

Sterling I have watched most of your videos over the last few years and like others have said they keep getting better. I like the idea of more people content. Everybody has a story whether they know it or not. They may not think they are interest but I know I always find it interest why people do what they do. 60 years ago in grade school one of the things that has stuck with me for writing a story is the 5 W's (Who, What, Where, When & Why). Also you show us a lot about your trips and your documentation thru video, but I think it would be interesting to know about you and how and why you plan your adventures. Great stuff keep it up. Thanks

Fellow adventure biker here who has learned a ton from KZfaq content creators. Some of the most compelling travel material comes with creative context that includes the “stories” of places from interesting local characters. Your content is great already and can only get better with the addition of these important “Context Creators”.

Excellent presentation. Since you asked for comments, I'll feel free to offer some. I think it is wonderful to involve people you interact with along the way. I find their stories interesting and it shows the best side of the human condition; welcoming, helpful and friendly. It is far too easy to become cynical and jaded watching any news show as they invariably cast everything in a negative light. Thank you.

Over trying to find a campsite & picking up food & cooking it etc etc etc blah blah blah After dozens of rides/trips/journeys - In the end I enjoy riding 2 hours more - Grab a room & take-out & a cold one. Repeat.... Puts a bigger smile on my face - in the end ETTO... & I hardly take any photos either to boot!!!

Thank you Sterling I’ve enjoyed the ride along even though I’ve travelled most BC roads possible by car for many years gone by. It was a joy to revisit them on your adventure. If I didn’t suddenly become 82 years old I would be tempted to try it again on a motorcycle exactly as you’ve done. Happy trails 🇨🇦

Yes, the locals add flavor and knowledge about the area that you hear about but we do not. Put them on camera but get your waivers signed. Loved this episode.

This trip just gets more beautiful each episode. Your cinematography is amazing and, if I didn’t know that you were alone, I would guess you had a whole film crew following you. Then to edit the shots, add music and voiceover, I am impressed. The idea of incorporating local people’s personal stories adds interest. An occasional overview of a map would be useful too. Finally, you are such a humble guy, it’s refreshing to see and hear way less ego. Ride safe 😎

For whatever reason, I enjoyed this episode the most so far. People’s stories are a fascinating mine of information and as it relates to motorcycle film making has pluses and minuses. A plus is that a solo motorcyclist is approachable and people generally are interested in you! A minus is it will require more dedicated stationary time-not moving on down the hiway. I’m in for it if you are!

Yes would love more stories about people and what they do. We love traveling around on our bikes and finding new hidden gems and talking to all kinds of people. Especially when we ride our mini bikes. Everyone is always interested in them and where we have come from and where we are going on them.

My husband and I have been following your videos for a couple of years now. I love your cinematography and perspective but I think this video is one of my favorites. You interviewed a local and brought in her perspective to bring attention to the area and people. I feel that’s similar to the BDR videos and I highly encourage more of this type of interaction in your content. Thank you for a great video!

If you travel to B.C. again, you should try to make it to the Northwest of the Province. The drive from Smithers to Prince Rupert is spectacular. And great people too!

You dropped the bike ? Thanks so much for showing the reality of solo riding. The other day, I pulled up in a Car Park next to a rather “stunning” young female Police Officer (just off-duty) riding a new Africa Twin, we chatted about bikes for a while, her new Twin and my 2 year old Himalayan, when leaning back a bit, my bike just fell over (foot just slipped sideways). We had a laugh as she helped me pick it up but it was so embarrassing - but yes, it can easily happen to all of us. Enjoying you travels so much and the interaction with locals is so interesting. I agree with the majority on introducing/integrating people on your journeys. Just be careful not to overdo it. You meet so many people it make your videos little Bios and run too long to watch comfortably. Keep videos primarily 25 minutes and I think we would all enjoy meeting one or two people living life rural and surviving with some in depth knowledge. Thank you Willie D

I welcome all the aspects of adventure travel. The riding, the food, the people and the places that you stay. So many restaurants and motels rely on moto travelers. And it’s an added bonus when they can reach so many more people through a channel like yours. It’s like a docutisement that really helps them and people get to know them. Sterling, first of all love your adventures and have seen most over the years. I look forward to the idea of incorporating human contact into your stories. I also watch most of Charly Sinewan's adventures and like his style of connecting "kind of in the face style" with people he meets along the way. Highway 24 is a gem of a road. I love driving it when I'm headed south. I've never ridden it....maybe that should change here in the near future....

What a great episode, especially since it briefly featured my city of Williams Lake! I've lived here for 22 years. As you said, it's not a large city but it has everything we need. I love the friendly people and the amazing scenery and abundance of places to ride so close to home. I'm blessed to live in the Cariboo. The rest stop at @7:15 is one of my favorite viewpoints. Sorry about the tipover. :( I've driven/riden past Pete's quite a few times, now I guess I'll have to stop. Thank you for doing such an amazing job of showcasing our beautiful little corner of the world!

13:37 That old style Kenwood stereo unit in the background is what I had nearly 30 years ago. It finally died a few years ago. I still miss its sound and features. :)

people here in Scotland that live in the remote area's often have 2-3&4 jobs, working 16 hours in the summer, just so they can stay and survive in wonderful/beautiful places.. well done to them

I am always interested in the places you travel through and how people live their lives in such varied places, so the way you are developing your content, (along with your excellent filming) makes your channel one that I follow. Where your bike fell over at the roadside pull-in, myself and a friend camped. Just put the tent up and crashed after a big day that took us to Nemiah Valley and Bella Coola.

Another great video Sterling - well done. Particularly love the composition of 17:39 through 18:20 - beautiful work. I agree that adding in the local interviews/conversations would be great.
