During the US civil war , both the north and the south wanted the university of Missouri buildings to use as hospitals and shelter for troops. The local men formed a militia to fight off anyone that tried to take over the buildings so they wouldn’t be destroyed in battle. They called themselves the Missouri Tigers, that’s where the name comes from

The hill with "white" on it is the M Hill....it's a big block letter M in white rocks. No seats on that side, anyone (with a ticket) can go stand on the M Hill during the game.

Auburn got beat very badly at their home stadium by the New Mexico State Aggies this weekend…would be cool if you guys could watch that one if it’s available …NM State’s QB picked up and body slammed the defensive player that caught the interception and from there it snowballed ….was a weird game and rare loss for Auburn…..they were favored to win big over the visiting NMS Aggies. The clock used to stop after every 1st down in college football. They decided it was making games too long, so now it only stops in the final 2 minutes of the half, after 1st downs. One of the small rule differences between ncaa and the nfl which is great imo. Also if you pay attention really close next time, you'll notice the hash marks are a lot wider in college than the nfl. Helps give you a ton of space to one side of the field depending where the ball is. Nfl has them really tight so you're never real far from the middle. Just a little idiosyncrasy of college ball.
