3+2 irregular arrangement of snaps allows for 6 unique sizing adjustment positions rather than just one or two.

Brit PLCE gear has always been a better set up compared to Alice gear in my opinion. Seems to be much more utilitarian than our specific pouches.I always loved the DPM too ever since I ordered my first smock from an old Guns and Ammo magazine back in the day.

Pcle is good but has its drawbacks, it can be uncomfortable, bounces around, rubs and doesn't really like to stay the way you adjust it however the best thing you can do for it is invest in a pcle hippo pad. You basically feed the belt through and attach the pouches as you normally would but it is a lot more comfortable due to the extra padding and is a life saver for when you're in the field for more than a few days. Also to stop it bouncing around you can sew it into the hippo pad to basically tailor it yourself. Some other good modifications you can do are to add more Velcro to the magazine pouches, replace the old slip buckles on pouches with a normal buckle, replace the big plastic buckle on the belt with a cobra buckle and make sure to wear it under a plate carrier then sew the yoke into position where its going to stay

I’m inclined to agree with you. With that in mind, though, ALICE appears to be much more customizable and the fact that it can also interface with MOLLE adds even more flexibility

The inside snaps are for the GSR (Gas mask) face shape holder, the shape holder is solid plastic with snaps on each corner. Really great to see an American review of the GSR Haversack. Good job 👍

Ive used it as a butt pack. But tbh I can get more in my bum pack (Australian 88) a bit bigger than US one. I just use a few oprions 2 X SAW pouches, Bum pack, a few aftermarket molle pouches. Depends what I need. I have a mix of Alice and PLCE. I mount it on a British belt, use an Alice harness. I also have a cheap molle belt harness. 2 water bottle pouches for nalgenes cup stove gas brew kit in that. Put the GSR pouch ( gas mask case) as a butt pack. Its enough for a rough overnight hike and camp in summer here. I use mine on a Karrimore 45 pack. I found it to be just a smidgen too small. So molle onto front and bonus; now the pack will sit on its base. I use that configuration for 2 to 3 day hike camp. Australia..so no guns dont need ammo or mag capacity. Kind of sux tbh. I miss the 90s lol

Personally, I'm not overly bothered with velcro, but you can get male-female velcro straps pretty easily -- just press male-to-female/female-to-male, and voila!, you're down to the snap-closures on the pack.

From my experience I really love them they are a versatile pouch which always went on my webbing, in addition another way they are used with in the British army is the royal army medical corp would use them to carry fist aid equipment,

I have several different cases, including this one and they are perfect kit cases. I use mine for all sorts, radio kit, waterproofs as a day pack etc. I recommend you check out the rocket pouches that come with the British Bergans… they make great little daysacks with a yoke. Olive, dpm or mtp patterns.

I'm sure the distance between the snaps was not intended so that you can get two snaps at the same time, but so that you can snap in in 'half length' or intermediate increments. Pretty good idea, honestly.

Hi OK you UK gass mask bag on the inside the loops at the top are for your gloves both pears when you look in the big pouch on the inner left is for spear canisters the two pockets on the right are for epi pens the small pocket at the back that's for dab pads . A friend of mine uses the outer pouches set between his ammo pouches and a canteen pouch he puts ready ammo in stripper clips and a chargers the bag he has made some molly drop strap with spring loaded hooks like ones on the carrying strap to go under the mag pouches on his left he's right handed if left the pouch goes to the right so it hangs just below the mag pouches the leg strap he moved half way up the molly on the back of the bag to attach to his left leg he has also run a flat bulge through the bottom molly and is hooked onto a loop infront of the mag pouches and the other end to a loop behind the canteen pouch and his admin pouch this stops the bag sliding back and forwards

RM, I guess the goal is what it can carry? I is dangerous to get a big pack as folks tend to try to fill it. Have you a general list of what you carry in the butt pack to see if it does the job? Mission specific gear, aside, it would be interesting to see the general pack load in any upcoming video. Thanks for the video. Semper Fi.

A few tactical tailor molle sticks will ad some stability. Leg strap thread it through the molle. You can put it through the loop om the Handel and make it more secure locked. No idea if it needs it because I've just always done it from day 1 lol.

Typed “British Royal Marines” into duck duck go just for shits n giggles. They have some good looking kit. Weapons too. Then that little voice said “ ‘the crown’ expects allegiance from these guys but they can’t own a BB gun off-base” Now Canada’s going the same way. Meanwhile Belorussians can own all the firearms they wish.🤦🏼‍♂️

I have also been putting together some modern 782 gear. I've been trying to come up with a good modern MOLLE butt pack that wasn't enormous. I have just recently discovered the velocity systems jungle butt pack. It is basically a modern version of the old m1967 butt pack and I think it would be a good one for you to try I'd you want a good modern butt pack. They are also reasonably priced.

The Velocity Systems option number 2 (which comes with 4 mag pouches, 2 GR pouches and the butt pack) is $545 on a 6-8 week order time as of 3.2.23. It looks like super high quality gear 👍🏼

@@behindthespotlight7983 I put mine together myself a whole lot cheaper. I used surplus eagle industries mag pouches and canteen pouches and then a surplus eagle industries padded war belt and a condor h harness and then added the velocity systems buttpack. @SurvivalSavvvy
@SurvivalSavvvy 3 жыл бұрын
@@renaissancemarinetv3536 Yeah kifaru is amazing but its pricey. The reason they ae expensive is because everything in the pack is USA made right down to the snaps. Not one piece is made else where. The reason for this is because they sell to our arm forces and that is one of the rules. The are one of the few backpack companies that stayed in the USA. They have a youtube channel and many years ago I seen the owner talking and explaining it all. But what I find weird is the pack weighs like 10lbs with nothing in it. Yet when I drop 15lbs in it I do not notice it. It feels so good when I wear compared to a unltra light pack. But I wasn't sure if you where aware of the company or not.

By my guess they're supposed to be a modular type of pouch so either ammo, accessories, and miscellaneous items could fit in them they can almost comfortably fit a 32ounce nalgene but it wont be able to seal up but it can fit 20 ounce bottles in the pouches and still seal up also.
