You may not consider yourself a music expert, Jack, and neither do I. However, I have watched a number of vocal coaches reacting to Zhou Shen's performances. To be honest, I don't place much importance on their professional comments, as I find it difficult to relate to them. I've mentioned this before, and I want to reiterate it here: Out of all the reaction KZfaqrs I've come across, you are the one who takes the reactions most seriously. I appreciate the way you delve into the lyrics and background of the singers, investing a lot of time and effort into providing accurate subtitles. Your dedication and hard work are truly commendable, and I believe they deserve recognition. Your sincere attitude towards the reaction videos and your commitment to delivering high-quality content deserve applause.

And yes, you're absolutely right: JJ Lin was indeed one of the singers Zhou Shen looked up to when he was growing up. He sang a lot of JJ's songs when he was a teenager, and he once said that he was known as "little JJ Lin" at his high school bc his singing voice sounded a lot like him back then! So it was really a dream come true for Shen Shen to be invited to sing with JJ at that concert ☺️

Really nice to see a video from you and your mum Jack! Sorry to hear that you felt you didn't have much to offer with the more 'music pro' reactions to Zhou Shen - because that really shouldn't keep you away from it. You and your mum gave us a really lovely fan perspective. I do enjoy the professional perspectives a lot, but I also love a fellow fan reaction too - and as someone learning Mandarin and more about Chinese culture, your insights and explanations into what we are seeing are really valuable. You've definitely been missed. And I do hope your Mum has at least watched some of Zhou Shen's performances this year...um, last year - so many wonderful outfits and clothing choices that she'd love!

I'm so sorry you've been second guessing yourself and losing confidence in your video reactions. You can see from the comments that everyone has no doubts about your ability to bring something new and valuable to the table. And everyone loves your mom and the interactions between you two. I also appreciate musical professionals and their input, but most of the channels I watch are regular people sharing our favorite singers and discovering new ones. I'm also thrilled and supportive of anyone spreading Zhou Shen in the world. As an anglophone also learning Mandarin, your level of fluency is inspiring and so is your mom picking it up.
