Hi there! If you really want to keep it Suid-Afrikaans, then make a curry noodle salad for your next lekker braai! 😘❤🇿🇦 Ingredients: 1x 500g pack of screws noodles 1x cup (250ml) All Gold Tomato Sauce (has to be All Gold, otherwise the salad will taste shit) 1/2 cup (125ml) cooking oil (sunflower oil) not olive oil 1/2 cup (125ml) Safari brown vinegar 3/4 cup (187.5ml) Huletts Granulated white sugar 1x Heaped Tablespoon Rajah Medium Curry 1x Pinch of fine Table Salt 1/2 Greenpepper finely chopped (optional) - but it keeps it authentic 😁 Method (pasta): Bring your pot to boil then add one tablespoon of salt and one tablespoon of cooking oil - give it a stir. Add screws pasta and cook for about 8 - 10min stirring occasionally - turn of the stove and let stand for about 3 - 4 min. Rinse off the pasta under cold water to remove extra starch. And shake off access water. Place in big enough bowl that can go into the fridge. For the sauce: Combine 3/4 cup white sugar, 1/2 cup brown vinegar, 1/2 cup cooking oil, 1 cup All Gold Tomato Sauce, 1x heaped Tablespoon Rajah medium curry and pinch of salt. Stir very well until very well combined 😁 add the chopped greenpepper (you can optionally transfer this sauce into a small pot and simmer it for a few minutes, but this is really not necessary) Now pour this absolutely delicious sauce over your pasta and mix it through well that all the pasta is covered. Place this beautiful salad in the fridge overnight (mixing through occasionally) just before serving, give it a nice little mix. You will thank me later 😘❤️🇿🇦 PS: Best hangover "babbelas" food 😂 Also koeksister goes down very nice with strong Moer Koffie (basically a traditional SA take on filter coffee) Let Olympia try some Droëwors as well, but proper droëwors. I make a sauce similar to your Monkey Gland sauce. Here in my part of Pennsylvania, it's something the Eastern European Babas (and I) make. Apricot (peach, orange, etc) jam, lemon juice, Dijon mustard, and ginger. It's always a hit.
