Braking Technique for Tread & Disc Braked Units
This programme has been designed to assist in the instruction and briefing of drivers in the correct braking techniques when driving three step electrically controlled tread or disc braked trains. It should be used in conjunction with British Rail Traincrew Manual BR33056/69 "Westcode" Brake Control System & Associated Equipment Supplement No.3 dated September 1992.
The programme has been produced in four parts:
Part 1 Tread Brakes - running time 7 minutes
Part 2 - Disc Brakes - running time 13 minutes
Part 3 Mixed Tread/Disc Formations - running time 2 minutes
Part 4 - Use of EBS - running time 2 minutes
