He was a great Founding Father who reconciled all Tribes of Kenya and taught forgiveness especially to our White Settlers and Peace as well

true son of the soil. Kenya's equivalent of americas founding father George Washington. An African giant who with wisdom & wit represented and pursued kenyas independence. your legacy leaves forever mzee jomo.

I'm not sure that Geo. Washington was quite as corrupt as the founding father of Kenya, but why let little things like that mar the Mzee's reputation?

@@jonnyh9388 who told you he was corrupt, don't believe in the stories being peddled around. Call him all kind of names but mzee knew what would drive Kenya forward,, the policy of give and take,, uniting. Same things Kenyans are crying for right now mzee is saying it but for you Washington is without blemish

Very few people were educated those days, addressing the crowd in English didn't make much sense

What language do u want him to speak in,, most definitely Kikuyu will not be your answer, Swahili was not also wide spread just the same way as English, so wat language would you advice him to speak,, u need to get his message of working with one another, give and take

Even though Swahili was not wide spread back then, definitely was still way much better than English. Uneducated people still may have ability to speak swahili even the broken one but not english.

Steve mzee was not talking to African but he was pointing out the wazungus that's why he was using the English language knowing what he has gone thru with the European people...
