British Vogue presents 'Life in Looks' with Robbie Williams. 'Grease is the most important film of my life,' says Robbie - so much so, the singer nodded to his obsession when he and Kylie Minogue recorded their 2000 duet. 'There is a Sandy and Danny inspiration for the video,' he reveals.
From his ’90s boy band era to the post-Take That days of bleached hair and Adidas tracksuits, watch the film in full as Robbie reminisces on his Life in Looks with Vogue. Join Robbie Williams as he looks back on some iconic looks as seen in his Netflix documentary 'Robbie Williams: Feel.'

The thing that makes me the happiest about Robbie is how good, how happy he seems these days. I went to his concert in mid August and he was better than ever. He was fully there, he sang ALL the songs (and don’t just let the audience sing them), he was funny and he seemed to enjoy himself.

i was a teenage girl at his peak, and I remember loving his music while being blind to his struggle. Today I reflect on that and I appreciate him as an artist and as a survivor from his own war. I've been at war with myself and I can't see the end of it still, so his story has been a great inspiration and his artistry a life lesson. Thanks Vogue, be happy Robbie.

I adore Robbie, always have done. When he said “I was sober but really depressed” it resonated with me immensely. I’m almost 10 years sober but unfortunately am battling hideous depression….topped off by having COVID too…yay. 😳 Thankfully I’m hopeful that it will pass. Thank you Robbie for your honesty, kindness and transparency regarding your recovery.

2003 was bitter sweet for me. I was 40 and I was at Knebworth, a show that could never be topped in my opinion, it was electric on a high vibration. A few weeks later my lovely Dad passed away and of course Angels was the obvious choice for me. That song helped us grieve and helped us come out the other side. Now this song 19 years later help caterpult my daughter into winning two major UK athletic titles and dedicated her routine to my Dad and Mum and all of the friends who have passed since. Not depressing, uplifting and spiritually has helped MANY people. You're a cheeky chappy Robbie, but I SEE you and I'm so glad your life is aligning with your soul purpose Xx

In the 90s I was much more alternative/Indy/grunge, but even though I didn’t like Take That, I adored Robbie. He was more rock n roll. He was and is human, vulnerable, rebellious and also my late Dad sang with him on a TV show once so I’m a bit biased I guess 😂. Fabulous interview, Vogue!

Robbie was always my fav out of TT, and when he broke away I was sad, but his music releases that followed were amazing. If he had stuck with TT we wouldn’t have had his brilliant music. He’s such a rare chap in show biz, honest, open, delicate, kind, talented, funny and above all that a gentle-man. His struggle with nerves (and life) hasn’t stopped him, but the ways he’s had to cope just goes to show he didn’t always take the best path, but he didn’t give up. He’s received lots of negative comments over the years; don’t worry Rob, they are just jealous, as you’ve had, and have a great career and they’ve not. Keep doing what your doing as it’s great. Love to you and your lovely family from good ole Blighty.❤

I think there are two real reasons. First. You know the best part of Robbie that he never tries to be serious about himself. Not everyone in USA understands this behavior. While you are down-to-earth person and do not play serious game people can destroy you. Actually everywhere, but in USA even faster because it's the biggest pop world. Second. He was the biggest pop star worldwide at one point and it was a point when he almost died. I think he understood that he can't always drive at the highest transmission. And you can see that he could use even more opportunities but sometimes just doesn't take a step. Examples? OK. He is good friend of Adele. But even never tried to do something together with her. He refused to play in the Spielberg film while he def has a great acting talent. He lives in LA during 20 years and he knows a lot of 'needed' people in the industry and can be in any of Evening show but never used this during last 20 years! Because he realises that in this case he has a chance to be bigger then he is himself right now. And it may to destroy the world he has right now - good family, good health, be sober, have stable carreer, etc. It's not so easy in our life to stop sometimes, because everybody wants to be bigger, to jump higher, etc. You know, push it to the limit. If you look at you and will do some pause sometimes it can be better, otherwise you can burn faster than you think... That's what Robbie understood and I admire him for this good example. So, in overall words he decided do not use USA for career but use USA for life. Not bad! p.s. Anyway, it looks like he will try to do his new big jump next year with Netflix documentary and biopic. I hope he has enough force for a) bigger success or b) bad reaction. Bless him.
@tigertot4935
@tigertot4935 Жыл бұрын
This had explained, in some interviews...when his management start promoted his albums, he had so sick of the popularity...so he decided stop making his carrier in US, coz he would make it as his escape place where he could live ordinary life...nowadays has been different condition, he'd mentally fit doing music carrier in US... One that broke Elvis' record no talent~>MORRRON thought
