It does sound different now, but it is the way it is interpreted that matters. She literally means she is the star wherever she is. She doesn’t write her songs, sometimes co-writes, but very rarely. So, she isn’t secretly saying something. #FREEBRITNEY though. 💛🙏

so i actually searched up what the meaning is behind the song (and i already know she doesn’t write all of her songs) but the song’s writers wanted to make a song that centered around her life at the time. and i’m guessing it’s about the paparazzi harassing her, and that’s what my comment means. so I’m sorry for the confusion lol

@@donitarozario7234 no, there were reports of circus animals being abused during training and rehearsals, mainly those in The Ringling Brothers shows, which was why they stopped doing shows. That’s why I used that simile since Britney had been abused throughout the conservatorship, especially since the conservatorship started around this specific era.

Her vocals are so crisp and I love the way she emphasises her words. During the final chorus there is the creepy synth, like a horror suspense siren, it’s throughout the whole song but it gets loud in the final chorus. Beautiful production and vocals 👍🏼

I really, really love the video too and the director really captured some of the "creepy essence" of the instrumental with the way certain clips came after another, but oh my gosh, I low-key wish they would have went even darker with the video, more of a twisted, scary 1960's circus/clowny/glamorous element. Can't explain it. Still one of Britney's best videos in my opinion. I love this video!

since your not a fan should know that this isnt NEW, Britney has been abues her whole life from her own mother who pimped her out to make money, to her horrible managers and PR people who force her do a LOT of things against her will, so the new string of violence and abuse is just one of a long history of abuse. She's begged for help for years and people ignore her...maybe for once people will listen and rise up to help her finally break the cycle of abuse. BTW the things Justin did to her where criminal and yet he's walking around like its nothing.

I swear to god people say shit like that only to celebrities or trauma survivors, well you were 12 years old, clearly you made these decisions yourself. And just for information sake, she was 3 years old when she was put in dancing lessons, by 5 she had dance, gymnastics and voice lessons and participated in multiple competitions. She chose very little. And it would seem her family is trying to keep is that way to this day.
