This is the song I listened to on repeat for 1 hour before I got up enough nerve to slit my wrist. Which I did. But a friend called the police, and my life was saved. This song is about heartache, and losing someone you love who doesn't love you anymore. We were married for 10 years, together for 12. She fell out of love with me in year 11... And cheated on me not just physically, but emotionally. I forgave her. We tried..... I tried.... To make it work.... But after a year of awkward nights and deception. One day, she was gone. I never fell out of love with her. She fell out of love with me, and she fell in love with someone else. And for a year, during the pandemic, she tried... But eventually, she knew who she loved and who she didn't. The shitty thing is.... I never stopped loving her. And after 3 months of her ghosting me... I would still take her back in an instant. Not because of allusions of "she still loves and/or wants me" I know she doesn't But simply because..... She fell out of love ... I didn't. I know she doesn't want me. Or probably miss me. But I think about her every second of every day. I never even got the chance to say goodbye.
