You do realize that Balckout created the sound we hear on the mainstream radio now? She was the first pop star to do electopop and she was the first to use dubstep in pop. Blackout has an huge impact and influence on music from other artists to this day.

I was such a die hard Britney fan when I was a kid and grew up on Baby One More Time and the self-titled Britney album. I remember I didn't understand Radar when it came out, I was too young to understand Blackout from the Britney I knew (I was 12) and still bought the CD when it came out. Yearsssss later it randomly came on shuffle on my phone in 2018 when I had a free Apple Music trial and I was OBSESSED with it. Fell in love with Britney and Blackout all over again (not that my love ever faded)! The always and forever Princess of Pop ❤❤❤

Story time: "Radar" was recorded in November 2006, the day after Britney filed for divorce from Kevin Federline. She arrived late to the studio but ended up surprising the producers with her work ethic and professionalism. It was originally planned to be released as the third single off "Blackout" but "Break the Ice" was chosen by fans instead. It was then planned to be the fourth single and a video was set to be shot in London with the concept being Britney and her friends chasing a man in different clubs. That release was cancelled as well as Britney had already started working on her next album "Circus". However, the song proved to be one of the most popular songs off "Blackout" as it managed to chart in several countries based on digital downloads alone without being a single, which was extremely rare at that time (for example, it peaked at #8 in Sweden in 2008). The producers of the song were promised that "Radar" would be released as an official single so the song was eventually included as a bonus track on "Circus" and was released as the fourth and final single off that album instead. Its music video was directed by Dave Meyers, who had previously worked with Britney for the videos for "Lucky", "Boys" and the unreleased "Outrageous". It was inspired by Madonna's "Take a Bow" video and was supposed to show a more "classy" side of Britney during a time where she was heavily criticized by the media.

Re-release it FOR A THIRD TIME? No, please! lol I agree with you, the song is great but it doesn't deserve a new release. They ruined the song as a single when they didn't release it as the 4th single of Blackout with Brit's original concept for the video. But it was 2007/08. Blackout has SO many single worthy songs that were wasted becaushe she wasn't good to release and promote an album. That's the reason of why they also ruined BTI as a single with the anime video.
