Thank you for your service, brother. I trained with some UK soldiers prior to Desert Shield/Desert Storm. They were good men, and hard charging warriors. US Army 1990 - 1994

Where is bp-1 again doesn't want to pollute his ears with this kind of music. My mother is 90 year old opera singer vocal coach in New York retired. To this day she will listen to any kind of music and although she might not care for it she can always find something good to say about the singer and the musicians and no matter how loud and noisy it is to her she finds the Rhythm in the music.

These numbers are getting higher as time goes on. Our government (US) recently cut Veteran's assistance by 22%. Our VA was already experiencing shortages and lack of funding but with this recent cut, it will make things so much worse. There are a lot of civilian organizations, as shown at the end of the video, but they can still only cover a fraction of those who need help. This band is constantly highlighting the issues with the way our country treats their veterans. This band does have heavier music. This just happens to be the highest video watched because of how much it means to everyone. I would say to check out Jekyl and Hyde, Inside Out, Under and Over It. Just to name a couple heavier ones.

This was on my list and I both very much wanted yet didn't want you to do this one. Travesty does not begin to describe this situation. The entire list is civilian-run organizations. We are trying to fill the gap but every d*mn session of Congress and every President since at least Vietnam has failed to address this issue and it's only grown worse over the decades. I will say I've heard veterans recently the numbers have dropped slightly but there is still a long way to go. This equates to about 3% of our veteran population. The actors in this video and other videos are real-life veterans. This band doesn't just talk the talk they are huge supporters of veterans and first responders. They also hire veterans for concerts and other projects. One of the band members was or is still a reserve police officer. Another started a nonprofit that helps individual veterans file the paperwork to get all the benefits they've earned. As for the music, they have done several with this type of softer metal if you will for message songs like this. You can refer to my Patreon list if you want to. It's the very first message I sent you. Others are very much more of a hard metal sound (but not Slayer metal). Sorry, Chewy's Momma.😁 The one I think I forgot to put on my list is When Seasons Change. It's a tribute to police officers. The only one where fair warning the video is super realistic and dramatic in parts is Coming Down. It has a brighter ending but it addresses teen s*@cide. The USA may be better than some as far as resources, but unfortunately the funds and resources are controlled by Government, so it's a fight to get anything done. Using my own experience, I served in the US Air Force for 9 years. It took about 12 years after I got out to actually get into the VA system, another 5 years to get a rating for service connected disabilities and any compensation. My fight is on going because I'm still fighting to have other service connected injuries to be recognized and rated. To give you an idea of this. I got out in 1990. After 33 years I'm at 40% disabled and still fighting. I having a new evaluation in a couple weeks and can only pray for a rating increase. My back was injured and has since developed Degenerative Arthritis in my spinal cord which has spread. 3 years ago I got an increase from 10% to 30% when the Arthritis spread to my hips, knees and ankles. Now it's in my upper back, neck, shoulders, elbows, and wrists and fingers. I should get an increase but there is no guarantee.

Songs bringing awareness to a subject sometimes fail and end up being a bit meh. This one definitely did NOT fail. It's musically not my thing, but it was a great song, and the lyrics both within the song AND on the screen certainly hammered home the seriousness of the subject. Good choice for an introduction! (I'm late, but I got here eventually🙄)
