Just heard your reaction guys to one of my favorite artists and yes he's Filipino ! I was hoping you would react to Gary V for quite some time ! I heard him a few years back and he absolutely blew my mind ! He is an icon in the Philippines and probably the greatest male vocalist from there ! Over 40 albums and has been voted the top male singer 12 times ! Gary is known as Mr Energy and I guess that's quite obvious ! Live on stage I hear his concerts are so very entertaining ! Most impressively Gary is sitting down and going at rate of 200 or 300 words and sounds a minute ! Unbelievable stamina for a 57 year old man !!! You guys as always are the very best with your reaction and wonderful comments ! Whether you like the song or not Gary takes you to another place where most haven't experienced in the music world ! Thank so much guys it so much appreciated ! Keep posting !! 👍🤗🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦❤️❤️

Gary is indeed a very talented artist and musician, it took us a little by surprise to be honest and it's not the style of music we usually listen to, but he sure can sing and you get your moneys worth from a Gary V show. The song, Spain, was written by jazz pianist Chick Corea in 1973. He is singing the lyrics that we’re added years later, by Al Jerreau. It’s a jazz classic.

Had a smile on my face for the whole song, firstly, watching you both trying to process what you were hearing, and secondly, enjoying Gary's talent. It's not exactly my cup of tea either, but you have to admire just his stamina, if nothing else. I seem to recall something about him having heart surgery a while back. No wonder! Love the different music you're bringing. There's such a variety of sounds and so much talent out there to enjoy. Music really is the universal language.

This is a higher form of music not for the simple minded lol. Your favorite pop singers can't dream of doing this stuff. There might be singers with 5 octave ranges and even they can't..

Okay, now we pulling out the big guns. This guy is a genius. A vocal titan. This performance bowled me over when I first heard it and time has not dimmed its luster. For another performance showcasing great vocal technique that may be more approachable, I'll recommend Shoshana Bean singing Make It Rain live at the Theatre At Ace Hotel. It's more bluesy than this, but also shows a singer at the top of her game, expressing the depths of her soul. Thanks for playing this, BPR!

Jazz is a much more complex musical art form. Gary V is one of very few singers who can sing this song with such speed, dexterity, and accuracy. Not many could keep up with the syncopation and scatting. People who can’t appreciate the amount of talent needed to perform this song and maintain the necessary energy to last eight minutes should stick to simpler melodies and singers who can only handle such.

He is also a composer of some Morissette song and internationally known as well very respected in Philippine song industry... One if not best icon we are proud of... if you just keep on diggin on His Songs...you'll gonna be inspired instantly of his heart warming rendition of different original music you havent heard before yet... Gary is a very versatile artist that younger artists like Morissette, Marcelito, Katrina, KZ, etc look up for inspiration and guidance. Jazz is just one of his genre but he got 39 albums, mostly his own compositions, that you can choose from. He can rap too. I recommend ‘Sa Yaweh’ and ‘Lead me out of the Dark’ that he reproduced during lockdown last year in his home studio to see a different style of his music. Thank you for reacting to Gary Valenciano. I have watched many of your reactions to other Filipino artists and liked them but never subscribed because I was waiting for you to discover Gary V. Glad that you did. Thank you too for continuously reacting to other Filipino artists. I’m not sure if you have reacted to Katrina Velarde before but I will highly recommend her rendition of “Somewhere Over the Rainbow”

Liked his rendition of this song. Not bad. Love me some jazz fusion. Gary V’s vocal gymnastics was quite impressive. His tone in the first part reminded me of Nat King Cole, 😍 after that I was thinking exactly the same BP2, Moonlighting, though I didn’t know the singer’s name. Great minds eh? 🙂. Would like to see him perform this song in a Jazz club rather than the Wish Bus. For the genre its a 9/10 from me. 🙂👍

Hi guys, he has a very deep romantic voice, the song seemed to have so many bends and turns. Oh my it all just changed, he is undoubtedly talented, but this wasn’t my cup of tea. You can’t love everything can you. Thank you both for sharing this video 🤗🤗🤗

Your reaction is priceless. Fair-does for not liking the song. I like 'Gentle' Fusion like this. Not too taxing. His voice is superb. His articulation is 'BBC shipping forecast' clear. I don't like processed voices, so it's lovely to hear a natural voice (the processing is so tasteful I can't hear it). It felt a _bit_ too long, but I liked it all! 🤔 8.8 for me. I'd listen to this more than Taylor Swift's song (her humour might wear thin). So I'll turn her down.

🤣 Your "tiny" British brains😉 don't like big band American jazz? Good of you to admit it.😁 Corea composed only the music. The vocals - words and scat solo - are pure Al Jarreau. Nobody else could have created that, and very few can cover it well. Gary V. did, and he added the beatboxing and extended the scat.🤯 All 3 are legends.
