High School is 9th grade through 12th grade. 9- Freshmen; 10- Sophomores; 11- Juniors; 12- Seniors. Generally there are sports teams for each grade, but it is fluid. A really good Freshman could be on the Varsity squad. A younger player can move up, but you don't send anyone down a tier, Senior is on Varsity regardless. College and University programs are similar.

you can have players move down a tier. the hs i played at, the sophomores and juniors that were on varsity and got little to no play time ( backups or 3rd stringers) were dropped down to JV for gamedays and would start

Didn't watch this when it was on, but glad I am through your eyes. High school football can be toxic and they do a good job here. I grew up in a suburb of Pittsburgh and high school football is just as crazy as in Texas-and just around Pittsburgh it has produced incredible players--just at QB it has produced Joe Montana, Dan Marino, Jim Kelly, Johnny Unitas, Joe Namath and George Blanda--6 NFL HoFame QBs! ("The Cradle of Quarterbacks")--no other similarly sized region has produced anything remotely like that--and many more other excellent QBs, as well--and that is just the QBs!

Highschool games have a lot of fights!! There’s never a season without one. Usually coaches are mad at both teams and players, but on rare occasions 😊 coaches ask “did you get em” ahahahah!!
