Barkov has been the most underrated player for 10 years which means he’s not underrated 😂. He’s one of the best players on earth

Today's a travel day. Both teams now have to fly 3,000 miles on an 8 hour flight to Edmonton. That's equal to London to Baghdad, Iraq.

Good stuff, lads. It's definitely a great sport. The Oilers thought that getting a dirty shot on our Captain and best forward (Alexander Barkov) would make it easier to win. Big mistake on their part. All they did was get our boys more pissed. This could get really ugly. As far as play on the ice goes, defense wins championships. In this case, it's defense and a goalie. BOB is incredible and the best in the business. He's going to win his 3rd Vezina trophy at the end of this year (Best goalie in the league trophy). He's also gonna win the Conn Smythe trophy (MVP of the playoffs and Final). He will join the record books with some elite company. A Hall of Fame goalie can make all the difference. WE WANT THE CUP.... #GOCATSGO

Both teams are playing great. You can tell by their play so far that both teams deserve to be there. Florida, imo, is just slightly better.

You're never in trouble until you lose on home ice. I'm a lifelong Pens fan and I remember the 2009 cup finals like it was yesterday. The Pens got handled easily in games 1 and 2 in Detroit. They looked bad, even worse then Edmonton has in games 1 and 2 in this series. The Detroit fans were already making victory parade plans. But the Pens won the next two at home and went on to win the cup in 7 games (Max Talbot 2 goals in game 7). So, yeah, it looks real bad for Edmonton right now but I'll say it again, you're never in trouble until you lose on home ice.

@GeoffRamsey-ke1ki It's an old hockey saying that a minor league player in my hometown told me 30+ years ago. The spirit of it is that if you force a game 7, then all the pressure will be on the team that won the first 2 games and has home ice for game 7. Just like it was for Detroit that lost game 7 in 2009. Just an old saying, not meant to be taken on a super analytical level, of course if Florida wins game 7 they can win the series without Edmonton losing on home ice.

@@GeoffRamsey-ke1ki It's an old saying. And in order to win, EDM has to make FLA "lose on home ice" so, the saying still rings true. If EDM had won even just one of those games they would now have "home ice advantage" via having 3 games left on home ice vs 2 for FLA. It's not saying you'll win the series if you win every game on home ice. It's saying that you're not really "down" in the series until you lose on home ice.

I get it, and I've heard the saying many times I'm just not a fan of it, maybe too much of a pessimist/realist. Truth is, Edmonton is in deep trouble, the all-time 5-49 record after being down 0-2 in Stanley Cup finals speak for itself.

I must root against all things Canada. I love that the NFL is rolling in money, while the CFL barely hangs on. I love that Canada didn't make the medal table Top 10 in both the recent Summer & Winter Games. I love that they haven't won the NHL in 31 years. Or the MLB in 31 years. Only 1 NBA (2019); only 1 MLS (2017).
