This master class performance. Is even more impressive, given the fact that So Hyang is not well here. Some time prior to this event, she was released from the hospital, still recovering from one of her numerous bouts with pneumonia (eight times between 2016 - 2018). Her doctors advised her to cancel her performance, not speak at all, and to just rest. So Hyang indicated she did not want to disappoint the audience, and performed. She believed this performance would be the end of her singing career, and just went for it.. The song took it's toll on her voice. Afterwards, she disappeared for more than a year. When she returned from her long hiatus, So Hyang has proven her vocal technique to be rock solid. 2020 to present day, she sounds better than ever.

Sohyang is such a trooper! Almost everything she does is live, which is a great fear for the vast majority of singers. But Sohyang always nails it, such that people have mistakenly concluded that she is just lip syncing. But that is _never_ the case. She is simply the best female singer on the planet. She sits down and does all of her arrangements with her in law family and certain musical assistants in her entourage. The result is musical genius. 🤷‍♂️💘😮👍👌😎

You finally caved to Sohyang's singing...LOL. Just kidding, but it's satisfying to finally see the 10. This arrangement is such a masterpiece. Her delivery is simply flawless. I should mention that this song tells her personal story, presumably her faith. That's Shane Filan all right. This episode is Shane Filan Special. As you know, Westlife also sang this piece and had a hit.

Westlife (and Boyzone, actually) had some really good stuff. I never liked their generic boy band stuff, but now and again they brought out something out of the norm. My hubby loves punk and ska etc, but he bought albums from both these bands. This was once again a beautiful assault on my ears. I bet seeing her live would shake your soul. Awesome stuff.

Sohyang has no social media, no channel, only fan channels. Her performances can be found on KBS, MBC , JTBC and other Korean broadcasters and she does have single songs and some albums for sale, but she remains an independent artist due to her health and her faith. They have tried to sign her, she turns them down. She turned Sony down again in 2020.

She is the best I have ever heard in my lifetime, she is amazing and a heart of gold! Her vocals and performances touch your soul. Love your marathon 👍.
