This week we get to film at the LA Dodgers Stadium - the biggest baseball stadium in the world! We meet the chef, and find out about their corn covered in Flamin Hot Cheetos dust, as well as the giant Dodger Dog and other baseball snacks. The USA is surely the home of the guilty pleasure food - and this week we see why!!
이번 주에는 세계에서 가장 큰 야구 경기장 (그리고 류현진 선수의 홈구장이기도 한!!) LA 다저스 스타다움에서 촬영할 기회가 있었어요. 경기장 총괄 셰프님께서 직접 불타는 핫 치토스 맛 옥수수도 소개해주시고, 거대한 다저도그, 그리고 여러가지 야구장 음식들도 먹어봤답니다. 미국은 정말 죄책감 들게하지만 맛있어서 계속 먹게되는(ㅋㅋㅋ)음식들의 천국인 것 같아요. 이번 영상에서 그걸 직접 체험했죠!! ㅋㅋ

1) That cheese in the torta is called cotija (co-TEE-ha)--it's from Mexico and it's kind of dry and crumbly like feta, goes great on tacos 2) Americans got good food because *everybody* came here, including people from really good food cultures, but I feel like this is kind of a recent development; if you look at stuff from earlier on in our history, the food situation's pretty dire 3) I think I need some of that corn like right now

Oh, yeah, and tortas are totally a Mexican thing-the Spaniards and French brought wheat and bread culture with them and then Mexicans took the sandwich idea and ran with it. (There’s also a place in my city that throws all caution to the wind and sells bulgogi tortas.)

@@manders76 Actually, in 1602, a British sea captain Bartholomew Gosnold planted the country's first wheat crop in Massachusetts. And during 1800s, people began baking bread in tins, rather than casting formed loaves onto the floor of brick ovens. A bit of history of bread in America for ya 😉

Honestly I laughed so hard when I heard him say that. As someone who does customer service over the phone. I get the most rude people. I sometimes forget how much Americans are spoiled by the customer is always right mindset. Other countries get so shocked at how much we actually help them.

으아 세상에 플레이밍 핫 치토스 진짜 좋아하는데 저 옥수수 너무 먹어보고 싶네요ㅠㅠ 미국 갔을 때 한번 먹어보고 그 치토스에 반해서 아직도 종종 직구해서 먹을 정도로 플레이밍 핫 치토스 너무 좋은데 한국에도 팔았으면 좋겠어요.. 코스트코 같은 곳이면 오리지널 치즈 치토스는 종종 있는데 저 맛은 찾기가 힘들어서.. 보니까 또 먹고 싶네요ㅋㅋㅠㅠ

미국 옥수수가 한국 찰옥수수와 달리 찰지진 않고 달아서 직접 만들어 드시면 맛이 많이 다를수도 있지만 레시피는 정말 간단해요. 구운 옥수수에 마요네즈를 펴 바르고 치토스 가루를 뿌리면 끝이에요. 영상에 나오는 치토스 종료는 flaming hot Cheetos인데, 한국에 파는지는 모르겠네여ㅎㅎ

They should do some historical food stuff in America!! You could go to Townsend or some other historical re-enactment event to learn about the transition from “english” food to more American staples! You could learn about the importance and development of barbecue during slavery and the influence of native and mexican cooking. I’d love more historical videos

멍냥 미국이 농업도 발달되어있고 기후도 다양해서 채소 종류도 많긴 한데 문제는 그런 풀떼기들이 다른 음식보다 훨씬 비싸서 싫어하지 않아도 접근성이 떨어진다는 점이죠.. 싼 것들은 칼로리가 높고 건강에도 안 좋고

@@aznmochibunny People need to control themselves. I blame the individuals, not the food. You can get smaller portions or save stuff for later.

Not a universal fact. It's what and how much you choose to eat. Those bad foods are not forced on you, it's your choice to eat it or not. There are tons and tons of healthier options. I eat all those "bad foods" and I'm skinny. I just don't over eat. It's that damn simple. The healthier stuff usually tastes like ass.

Gordon Adams The portion size for even healthy stuff in the US is still pretty huge though depending on where you buy it from.

@@aznmochibunny But you are not forced to eat it all. If its in a store, you usually dont eat it all at once, you save whats left. Like a bag of chips, if its a large bag you dont have to eat the whole bag. You save them for continued use whenever you feel like it. For resturants they will give you a box and you can put your remaining food in there. I blame the individual, how much and what they eat is not forced on them.

4:00 "How did Americans end up with good food?" You are in California, where we have some of the freshest, and most diverse, food options in the US. In fact, up and down the West Coast, you will get that. If you are ever up in Seattle, you need to try their seafood. Then, if you want the best BBQ, well, you would want to hit up the southern states. Yes, our food portions are huge, and I can't ever finish them, so I take a lot home or I have to share. However, I've noticed many restaurants in our area are starting to do small plates, and I'm really grateful for those options. 😊

I knew the elote (corn) with chile was mexican thing since i saw the thumbnail lol (made me hungry), and the torta is not america-mexican food, it is 100% mexican & it is a different bread, it tastes better than hamburguers for sure. Great video

Hesper Jo 음식 자체가 일식 퓨전이니 젓가락을 주죠 미국에서 아시아권 음식 많이 먹어요 인기도 많구요

일식이 비싼 편이라 옛날에는 젓가락 잘 쓰고 일본음식 잘 먹으면 좀 살고 잘 배운 사람이란 편견이 있어서 그럼ㅋㅋ 요샌 배달이나 포장하는 중국음식도 싼 가격에 먹을 수 있고 쌀국수같은 아시안푸드가 보편화된 편이라 흔하기도 하고

I've watched (probably) almost every one of their vids and didn't realise till now how odd their eyes look in the end thumbnail. Josh's eyelids do this strange folding themselves over each other thing and Ollie's honestly look like the only thing holding his eyeballs in IS his eyelids 😂

저도 7월에 다저스타디움에 다녀왔습니다! 근데 음식은 너무 비싸서 안먹었던 기억이 ㅜㅜ..... 아무것도 없는 기본 다저덕이 세금 포함해서 7불이 넘었던걸로 기억해요. 음식 몇개 먹었다간 거덜날거 같아서 꾹 참고 왔었습니다 ㅜㅜ.... 다저스타디움이 미국에서 제일 큰 구장인건 몰랐네요. 높기는 정말 높아요. 맨 꼭대기에서 보면 사람들 콩알만하게 보이는데 경기장은 한눈에 다 들어와서 마치 야구게임 보는 느낌이었습니다. 그리고 두개의 스크린이 매우 인상적이었네요. LED 스크린이 아니었는데도 매우 선명하고 밝아서 신기했던 경험이었습니다. 아... 나도 저기 있었는데... 생각하니까 또 가고 싶네요. 내년에 또 가볼까...
