I am a 64 year old welder been through the ringer and I cry everytime I hear this.

I played this for my 102 year old Sicilian Great Grand Mother. Who speaks primarily Italian. She listened intently, especially to the Italian, muttering the occasional Bravo, Mama Mia and Bravismo. She declared at the end that he is an Angel sent by God. She said he must be Italian by prpxy and his Italian is "perfecto" better than some in the room. My Gram is my hero and if she says he's an Angel, who am I to disagree.

He can sing in English, Italian, French, Spanish, Chinese and Tagalog. Moreover, the pronunciation of all these languages ​​is rated as near perfect.

He was homeless from age 7 until age 24. He literally would sing for food. He won Philippines Got talent with this song.

As a side-note even Dimash can NOT switch between male and female singing voice as fast as marcelito! truly a phenom!

It is one of the best I have seen, (and I have seen them all), having a fascination with seeing people respond to who I think is the greatest singer of our time and having real understanding of the miracle we are watching in front of us. One thing I would like to add is that the apparent gasp of air from him at the end of the song was not because Marcelito was running out of air, but because another person in the radio station joked to him at the end of the song, "Okay you can spit out Celine now", and Marcelito obliged with a pretend gasp of air and a smile on his face.

Marcelito Pomoy is definitely in the elite singing bracket. He blows people out of the water. What is more amazing is the fact that he never ever had a real training and lessons in singing, he's self-taught. The more you react to him the more you will be in awe. Pomoy alters the pitch and timbre, the breathing style (head voice vs. chest voice), the singing style (pop vs. operatic), and the languages. While Italians in reaction videos state that his grasp of the language is spot on, he doesn't actually speak the language. He also needs his wife to help translate English for him since he can't speak that as well. I've watched this video dozens of times and my reaction to it is always the same, awe and disbelief.

Great reaction. ....and not only is Marcelito hitting the notes, he is maintaining two very distinct vocal characters. A French Canadian soprano singing in English and an Italian tenor singing in Italian and English. Let's not even start on the breath support. One other reactor mainstay that I would recommend, if not familiar with it, is Disturbed's cover of The Sound of Silence(2016). Video, or Live on Conan O'Brien. Often considered one of the greatest covers in modern music, and a real surprise.

marcelito manages to hide the passages between notes, voices, styles, and different languages, because they are perfect, when you don't hear a change of notes it means that it is perfect. I'm an Italian tenor and I guarantee you that I don't feel the breath and all the changes Marcelito makes, I'm impressed. Jump on the fourth and fifth octaves with enormous simplicity, remaining seated and calm.

Never had a vocal lesson in his life. He grew up homeless on the streets of the Phillipines. His talent is all natural with lots of practice on his part. He realized at 18 that he could sing Soprano. He worked at a chicken farm and while singing to the chickens he began singing soprano. He is so amazing!!

If you check out his life story you will need a box of tissues handy. For Marcelito to go beyond the horrors of his upbringing and now be able to bring joy to millions of people world wide is way past astonishing.
