Born is Muskogee Okla and raised in Checotah ok...Carrie is okie through and through!! She auditioned for American Idol while going to Northeastern State University in Talequah Oklahoma aka the Cherokee Capital of the Cherokee Nation. I'm from Tulsa ok and went to the same college she did they have a great music and drama department there!!.

I would think this is Choctaw Country, Mississippi. Every July they have The Choctaw Indian Fair. It's a real big deal down here. People own cabins there and it's one huge party. If you want to buy a cabin there, you'd better be kin to someone who owns one and be their favorite niece because to get one, you just about have to be given it in somebody's will!!!!!

Choctaw county Oklahoma, I always thought it was. Since she grew up in Chechota OK. just south of where I live in Guthrie OK. The neighboring town is Chactaw.

Love your reaction to this powerhouse song. However, I don't think there was any indication that any of the participants were married, so technically, it wasn't an adulterous affair. Just a little murder and mayhem and perverted justice -- which is nothing unusual for Choctaw County, as we Mississippians can attest. Keep up the good work, girl. Well I wouldn't go quite that far, I think there is plenty of room for lots of ginormous talent, Carrie, Kelly, Jennifer, Pink, Gaga, Adam Lambert... (yes I know Pink and Gaga wasn't on AI, I just included them)... really the list is long.. Dimash, Angelina Jordan... there's so much amazing talent... but Kelly and Carrie are both phenomenal superstars, and I could listen to either all day....this song is one of my favorites of Carrie.

Alot of Country singers can play 2 or 3, or more, instruments (usually piano and guitar, at least)!! I love this song, but i think you're a bit off when you say "affair" in the sense that it's a love affair. It's a play on words. What Carrie means is that it's a Choctaw County "Affair", meaning a situation. It's a local situation that outsiders wouldn't understand. The character in the song Cassie O'Grady was blackmailing Carrie's character and her boyfriend Bobby. So, Cassie going missing was a Choctaw County Affair. Great song. Carrie Underwood is a goddess!
