There's a video on KZfaq of them playing this song acoustic in a bar before they were famous. It's a great performance and people are just talking and not paying attention. A few short years later they'd be the biggest band in the world playing sold out concerts.

This is just one song in a trilogy of videos and the videos are really amazing starting with don't cry then November rain and estranged. This are some of my fave music videos from my teenage years

The first time I saw Axl in his booty shorts was the Freddie Mercury tribute concert. I thought he was wearing them as some sort of tribute to Freddie because he used to wear them on stage sometimes. If it was he didn’t stop there 🫣 he had them in different colors and wore them a lot 😂

You REALLY have to watch the original video for this instead of the live version (and also for November Rain and then Estranged). That trilogy of videos is iconic and tell a story you won't get from just listening tot them play live. Not to mention they were expensive as hell and very cinematic. Easily in the top ten ever made. You're missing out

GNR Was The Biggest Rock Band All The Time, In Late 80'S, GNR Won The MTV Video Music Award (VMA), Since 1989,1990,1992,1993. Beating U2 Albums, Metallica Albums, And Nirvana Albums in The MTV Music Video Award. Then GNR Vacuum in The Middle Of 1993, Then Came The Famous Alternative Bands, Such As: Nirvana, Pearl jam, And SmashingPumpkins. Nirvana is Famous For Entering The Same Music Recording Studio As GNR, Namely Universal Studio Music, Through The Album Nevermind. Even though Previously Nirvana Was Not Famous at The Time, When They Were Still in Their Indipop Music Studio. The Famous Alternative Music Band From 1993-1995. Then GNR Held A Reunion At Troubadour in L.A. And The Coachella Music Festival in 2006. Many Hollywood Artists Came, Watched The GNR Reunion, Because Everyone Missed The Band GNR Rock Music, Because The Music GNR Was Very Nice To Hear. I Loved The Band GNR. Wow, I have both CDs and I do not remember the difference versions. I will have to dig out my old CD's and listen to both versions. And yes, I am ancient.😢 I not only remember CDs but also vinyl albums, cassette tapes and ..... reel to reel tapes.🤦‍♂

okay but i absolutely recommend watching their “You Could Be Mine” Live in the Ritz Theatre in 1991 (on GNR youtube channel) because slash actually says actual words at the beginning and it’s such an amazing song and they put it in HD so it’s amazing quality!

This is great! Please react to more GnR :) Also, in the early 90's, Axl wore shorts, a lot. He also wore white shorts (um, those do not leave a lot of room for imagination. have water close by because it is HOT), and black shorts which I think were the best :) You are correct, lead singer is indeed Axl Rose. You already recognize Slash, as well. The bass player is Duff McKagan :)

Glad you got to do Don't Cry specifically this Tokyo version. You need to look up GNR Don't Cry with Shannon Hoon. Arguably he had a better voice than Axl. He was the front man for Blind Melon. He was brother of one of Axl's friends (not sure if it was his gf). He died from an OD some time ago, but the Shannon Hoon/Axl feats. were one of the best, especially for Don't Cry.

Shannon Hoon died from overdose in 1995. I am not convinced that was suicide. Also, I respectfully disagree that he had a better voice, but to each their own.

Britt please let me begin by saying You are absolutely gorgeous, I am one of the biggest GN'R fans in the world and to get the best experience it's an absolute must to watch the trilogy in order Don't Cry, November Rain & Estranged, The trilogy is called Without You a short story written Del James, I know it's a lot but it would be really awesome to see you react to the entire trilogy all 3 songs in order the official music videos, They are Epic, I've watched a lot of reaction videos and you are hands down my favorite, You have the prettiest eyes and the voice of an Angel, Keep up the great work

You gotta do the trilogy now, but with their respective videos, those are like short films and November Rain being the best of them all. The chronological order would be ( I believe Don't cry, November Rain and Estranged) they're all connected. Axl's voice was that of a rock God, as simple as that but we all knew it wasn't gonna be forever, the type of strain he out on those vocal cords with the way he used to sing, damn. That's why I'm super glad I got to see them live in concert 4 times, last time was in 2007 at a big stadium n no arena concert can ever match the atmosphere and experience that is a concert at an open stadium, epic. Btw, GnR is in my city tonight but playing at a hockey arena, otherwise I would've gone hahaha. Guns n fkn Roses, fkn epic.
