The first game has nothing to do with your placement. It just gives it to you. It already pre determines your rank based on wins, arena, etc

Epic made the first game sound more important than it actually is. The first game has to do with the percentage of which you start in, but your rank was determined by how well you did in arena. For instance, I got Gold II because I barely played arena last season and was only Div6, whereas my friend who got Div8 placed Plat2.

First game does not determine your rank it is because of your past performance and stats.

It already pre determined depending on how many matches you've won/played

Your rank doesnt only depend on the placement game, it also depends on some of your previous games.

Ranked actually makes me enjoy playing with randoms more now just for fun. Every once in a while I'd hop on and play with random people either when Arena was still around or jus play filled duos, trios (before Epic fucked up and removed it), and squads but now I've been playing with random people everyday. It's quite fun.

The first match only helps in determining your rank. The previous matches matter more compared to your first ranked match.

the ranked system is more based on your stats ur first game does help like a tiny bit but its mainly ur stats

im pretty sure the matches that youve played before the ranking system also count towards your placement rank.

Fortnite also take into account your Fortnite account age (when you first started Fortnite) when ranking. For example mc creamy on his main who died off spawn got into diamond 1 just because he joined in season 1.

I would say there is like a range were you can be ranked at based on your rank the seadon before and your 1. round like kinda then picks where you land so that has a small effect on it i guess

Im pretty sure the rank system gives your rank based off of previous stats during the season so like how many wins you've gotten accumulatively or accolades in build games before this was announced, same with no builds.

The reason you got platinum is because before the update epic games decided to make it so the last few matches you played counted towards your placement this update

Yo premfn the reason the ranked is like that it's really based on how long you have played (what season started) and it's only that first game so kills didn't count that much in the first game but after that they matter more.

For anyone who doesn't know, the first guy who killed him at 1hp was Slacks, a member of the high-earning FN team Dignitas, and pro players like Bugha, Acorn and Khanada play on that team. Slacks is the 90th best pro player in the world and he was unranked when he fought Prem.

i play the game with my friends every spring break but we decided to play one match with the new ranked system and placed plat 1

My duos teammates are those guys with no kills and exist as a reboot card most of the game

The only thing I don't like is how fast you're able to rank up, other than that, we need to wait and see what changes they make in the future.

Remember that placement is based off of pass performance as well as first game.

Yeah I think the ranking system used to be broken because when me and my friend were actually trying we got like 2% of rank xp for a top 3 placement. But if we died right away then we got a big boost. So I said we should rry diving off the edge of the map as soon as we spawn and it worked and we got multiple free rank ups that way befor ethey eventaully fixed it😂

That’s so relatable. I watched some KZfaqrs die on spawn and getting Platinum III which made me so happy when I won my first ranked game with 12 kills just to realise that I got Silver I.

It doesn’t matter how well you do it places you given how well your stats are in gaming overall. I always start in low silver for builds and high bronze for no builds. It all depends.

When you play ranked its not about how good you are it’s about how many ranked quests you do

Was playing my frist comp game of the season with my friend. We got a total of 22 kills together and won the game, but we both ended up placing in silver 1 xD

It really makes no sense, it happened to me as well. I was literally Platinum last season, and finished top 1 with 17 kills for my new placement game : I ended bronze 3….💀

That bronze 3 is relatable to me I won with 21 elemination but my rank increased till silver 2

I got silver II in season 2 when it came out, I didn’t play any arena that season so I don’t know why

the first game is an example of why i wait till mid season and then start doing ranked because then start of the season absolute sweats who were unreal last season (because they only play ranked and ranked only) sooo if you wait you will get all bot lobbies and ez rank up from the placement match.

i got plat 1 when i died offspawn, i havent even played a build game this season
