Took my friend to their concert years ago as surprise. She is a diehard fan. I knew some of their songs, but didn’t own an album. They won me over. Wow. Great in concert! Really admired the drummer who never stopped and Sambora. Jon had him sing one of his hits in big part, and that man can really sing in his own right. My guilty pleasure is Bad Medicine. Helene here.....I’m asking a sincere question here so don’t hate on me people: When people dismiss or sniff at “hair bands of the eighties” are they thinking of Bon Jovi and/or Def Leppard? Because I think they’re both good bands and put out some great songs....and yet so many look down on that music now....both younger people AND folks from my generation who grew up with sixties and seventies music. I mean, I’m a Zeppelin.and Pink Floyd gal to the core, but I think this is a great song and does a fine job, along with the video, of dealing with a subject that many musicians have written about: How touring constantly can literally kill you.

Great song but so many people saying it was used in Young Guns 2 when it wasn't. The producers asked if they could use it because of the western feel that it has. Jon bon jovi said no because it meant so much to the band he considers it their national anthen. But that he would write something specifically for the film which was Blaze of Glory.
