That “coal shoveling” is actually the crewman walking on gravel. If it was shoveling you’d hear the metal shovel hitting the coal and the coal flying off the shovel.

Very impressive early UP Challenger locomotive model and I am glad to see these have been produced by both BLI and Athearn Genesis in ho scale. I find this csa Challenger model interesting because it has a unique early style appearance of the Challenger class and I am a big fan of UP rr steam power.

I have one of these locomotives, also 2 big boys. The are a beautiful model but with every one of them the motors went bad and it burned out the decoders. After spending that kind of $$ on a HO locomotive I would expect that there would never be any trouble with it. I pulled one of these motors apart and I found out the brushes were installed wrong. A long story short, these locomotives are a huge disappointment.

It one of best engine 👌 out there I putting collection together my goal is big boy, challenger,norfolk western, cab forward, it homicidal engine 👍 😀 3k in total. And then I want buy diesel at list 10 sd 70,sd 90 sd 80.plus alco pa ,emd e 8 .I want spend close to 10kinto hobby.
