Thank you so much for sharing this. She is an international treasure and I’m beyond happy for her new project. I can’t wait to see it. I met her in a supermarket during her San Diego run of Allegiance. So random but the highlight of all nightlights for me. She is so incredibly sweet, down to earth and such a beautiful person.

Martial Law was to keep things in order during that time in the Philippines. Prior to the declaration of Martial Law, the communists in the country had spread crimes; bombing Plaza Miranda, etc. My dad told me & my siblings how chaotic the country was before Martial Law. He said he was just a student back then, and these communists asked the passengers & the driver of the bus sing to their anthem of "Ang Bayan" and if you declined and did not follow their orders, they would let you out of the bus or sometimes they will just put the bus on fire. When Martial Law was implemented, there had been order in the country. During Martial Law, there was a curfew and people had to abide by it. Nothing harm was done to those who had followed the Law.
