Best wishes to Brockemeyer. He gave it his best shot playing 3-4 years here but it wasn’t meant to be. If he wasn’t going to start, he needs to go play where he can start one season and try to get drafted. He owes us nothing. Let’s wish him well.

No one got hosed. This is the new normal. Guys transfer in and transfer out every Portal opening. Brailsford, although not avail this Spring, is simply a better player. Brockemeyer worked hard this Spring and created an opportunity to start somewhere else his last season. Good for him, imo.

Most of these kids playing nowadays are all head cases. It's really a reflection of society and coddling these kids didn't work out and will never work out. Now college football is ruined just like everything else in society. Its sickening.

Make no mistake Brockermeyer had won the starting job in the eyes of his teammates and it wasn’t close. It’s is bad it’s devastating if he left because he thought Parker was going to be given his job. If DeBore loses this team he’ll never recover from it ever

I am sure in the next few days we will NOW bring in 2 SEC-Ready O-Linemen,who may or may NOT be in the Portal as of yet... I still believe we will see a DB, or 2,Portal out. Another IDLineman will Portal,more than likely. I look for a WR to enter the Portal, before or on, Tuesday. Along with an ILB or a Bandit or Wolf. And Talty will either leave or other financial "arrangements" will be made with him. I am still shocked that one of Milroe,Simpson,or Lonergan have not entered the Portal. Same with one of the TE's. We are going to bring in,at least,2 DB's. Probably 3. And they may or may NOT be in the Portal yet. Besides the OLinemen we bring in? I still believe we are going to( because of Jalen H's situation) bring in a high-impact,high volume WR. Several will enter the Portal before May 1. I have my eyes on 2 of them. We also will bring in a Big-Time IDL or pass-rusher. Hold on to your seats!!!!

Sounds like the coaches were honest with him. He probably thought he won the starting spot in spring but the truth is, outside of something happening to Parker Brailsford, Brockermeyer was never going to start.

That makes it look like politics giving a guy the job without earning it.Thats a bad look for the coach and will cause issues in the locker room

I watched the spring game and JB plated well had 2 knee high snaps nothing on the ground and blocked well this is not good

Race isn’t an issue. The back up QB is always the most popular guy on campus. Remember when Hurts was the back up? Everybody wanted him. Then, do you remember when Tua was the back up to Hurts? Everybody wanted Tua. Coaches are going to play the best guy. That’s all that matters. Fan opinion means nada.

⁠@@livingadreamlife1428100% “backup is the most popular man on campus” was much more commonly said 15-20 years ago. Haven’t heard that in awhile. Spot on tho. Has nothing to do with race. With Tommy now medically retired after being a top10 recruit at OT, which is usually a shoe in for getting drafted high, James is probably chasing the money for his family. Can’t blame ‘em but Jesus Christ… do it 3 months ago or when the portal starts and not screw over your team mates. Seth sucked, that’s why he left. Maybe Brailsford rlly was expected to take the job. Hell, maybe they’ll throw Formby or Pritchett at center.
