Here in the USA there is much less demand for people with your skills. Which makes watching you and your team all the more interesting. That said, the ones we have like you are very much in demand. And can command very high rates. I imagine that most of your work is “ time and material” because it is nearly impossible to gauge how long jobs can take. Talk more during the videos about those challenges. The precise layouts that are required are another skill set you should discuss.

Matty when I worked in Germany with stone mason they all ways used a template especially on renovations work .we worked in east Germany 12 months great experience right was right no cowboys 👍🍪🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿👏

Hi Craig, yes my mate. It’s something I’ve always hoped would of happened, my eldest son is a plumber, he didn’t fancy it and I thought he would be the one to join me. Jacob surprised me tbh, but yes I’m over the moon 👍

Love the old building stonework stuff, look forward to seeing more when you can. I've done the same kind of bullnose with wood on old unit tops and window boards without a router, rough it out with a hand plane then smooth it out with a sanding block.

Cheers! I’ve used the big Probst ones for relaying yorkstone are brilliant but don’t own one. The Grabos which are smaller I don’t like, too much faffing.

Came out really nice.I thought for a minute you would end up putting a dip indicating a few hundred years of wear😁. A tip : if I have a shop vac onsite Iwill hook the hose up to the exhaust to blow my cut line clean.

For an easiet way to work stone put it on table of sorts at waist height ..masons call this a banker Hence we are called banker masons Who carve stone ... saves the back and put carpet on your table no chips when moving piece around

Wasn’t worth setting something up like that for a little job like that. Yeah if you’re doing it all day but I just used what I had to hand on site. Plus I’m used to working bent over all day laying paving

Looks great Matty can’t beat the elite stones blades just used the exact blade today straight out the wrapper cutting some Indian sandstone paving. And the marshals Indian sand stone tumbled walling.

Another brilliant job. I use a cordless disc cutter, it's just a lot lighter than a petrol one. Also have you thought about using a flush cut diamond blade on the grinder. Might make it easier for bull noise work 🤔

I think it's a flex when woodworks use their thickness planer...Matty here is flexing by thickness planing STONE by HAND!! 👊💪 Really encouraging to see your lad coming on in confidence. What age did he start getting stuck in on site?

Another great video, must take some patience and perfection to modify a slab like that. can I ask what porcelain blade you use for the Stihl cutter? I've been using a 4" angle grinder for my porcelain jobs, but would love to try with the Stihl saw! Thanks again for the great content.

Thanks Tal, they’re not the easiest things to handle at first but the most versatile tool you can own in this game. Elite Stone Tools is the brand, they’re really really good! and have a huge range of cutting and dressing tools too.

Little tip from a mason take the gaurd of you can get nice and flat to the stone makes it a lot easier apart from that well done
