My awful experience buying a set of used fenders for the 67 Nova from some douchebag on Ebay.

Great episode. Man, those fenders...the whole story and the passenger side one hurts to see and hear about. You've certainly got a lot of ambition taking this on. Hopefully #16 will have some happier times on it...maybe with that sweet hood!

Hi Brody, met you at the local Car Show a few weeks back and you turned me on the your KZfaq channel. Great build and enjoying all your episodes. Looking forward to see your journey.

I hate the scammers and it’s getting harder to tell the difference in most of the Facebook groups. I’ve only had good experiences with Brian McGee and Jeff Alan so far but unfortunately they don’t have everything I need still (front fender mount antenna and rear wheel well moldings). Good luck and keep posting.

Damn dude. Sucks about the fenders. Been liking your build so far. I’m in the collection stage of my 66 nova. Needed a rt frt fender. Got lucky and found one on Craigslist. Had to drive 2 1/2 hrs to pick it up. Was near perfect. $75. Lucky score. Good luck with the build.

Over Under Sideways Down........New fenders from Summit from $325 with free shipping..... Might be cheaper to start over with new stuff that is at least returnable....

that's the bad part of buying something and not seeing it in person. i've been there and done that too. i know everyone says buy original because repop don't fit well but here is something to think about. you are dealing with an aftermarket body so i don't know how well oem panels would line up anyway. plus the body gaps from the factory in the 60s was horrible. this is why paint jobs can cost a lot of money when the shop spends the time to gap everything to that perfect 3/8 gap. they have to cut or add metal to achieve the 3/8 gap and sometimes have to work the metal to get them to lineup. if you are planning on having those perfect gap i would start with aftermarket fenders at least you are starting with fresh near straight panels

Need to put shims on top to stretch the fender to make it not stick out at the center my original fenders that fit great had same issue when I put car back together just your basically squeezing the fender In to make it stick out in center.
