Hey! Welcome to the first home vlog of the year! We update you on quite a few things in this one, it's been a heavy few months for us both but we are keeping positive and feel so grateful for all your love and support. Thank you so much! Brogan & Benji xx

You’ve got this Benji! I had open heart surgery at 24 years old, 18 months ago, it will be the toughest thing you ever go through but with the right support around you, which you clearly have, you will get through it. The first 2 weeks are the hardest, but after that you really start to feel a difference and start to feel like yourself again. My advice, lots of pillows to prop you up at night, sleeping was the most difficult part for me. Hold a cushion to your chest to cough, drive home etc, take snacks you like into hospital with you as getting your appetite back can be tricky and hospital food will not bring it back haha. I look back now on that time in my life and I can’t quite believe it happened, at the time it feels like everything is going at slow motion, but soon enough months will have passed. And Brogan, support for you is just as important, don’t forget to give yourself some time for self care too! Your relationship is going to get you both through this time of your lives xxx

You've got this Benji! My son was born with a CHD and he had open heart surgery at 9 days old! The advances in surgeries these days is amazing! Hopefully you have a speedy recovery, and can get back to 'normal' as quickly as possible! ♥

Brogan I hope the skin cancer heals and goes away. Last year I had breast cancer and had to do chemo and radiation. It's always good to check and check your skin, get tested and get mammograms. it's important to catch these things early. Sending you both prayers and love for your health. I actually have a followup next Friday and a mammogram and then get my results at the end of the month. So scary. It's emotional time. The past two years have been so terrible for everyone. Let's pray for an amazing 2023! more joy and love! All the best and I know you will reach your 100k this year. I am so happy for you! You have worked so hard! I’m back watching some older videos and I just wanted to say Thank you for talking about your skin cancer, I just found out I have a BCC on my face last week and I have to have it cut out on Thursday. I’ve been really emotional about it but knowing how you’re doing in your current videos I feel a little better! ❤

Hoping that the surgery makes Benji feel better and Praying for strength for both of you. My husband is a melanoma survivor and he now sees the dermatologist every 3 months for a full body check. He wears prescribed mineral sunscreen everywhere, and per his dermatologist even applies it before he leaves work for the drive home. He also wears the clothing and hat brand his dermatologist recommended, Coolibar. (Any UPF 50+ brand while outdoors). Hold onto each other and sweet Bonnie girl too! Just found your Chanel and really love you both. You’re so inspiring and such a wonderful couple. My husband has had three major heart operations and come through them all so well the nhs is incredible. We will pray for a full recovery for you benji it’s not easy going through surgery for a couple but like we’re doing keep positive and thinking of your next trip together. That’s what we’re doing it’s our 53 wedding anniversary in July and hoping to go on a Mediterranean cruise this year. You and Benji will both be fine. I believe in you 🫶🏻. Make sure the docs keep an eye on the skin cancer. It’s your largest organ. I’ve had BC twice and all is good so keep up your spirits. You both are rock stars!

Brogan my husband has had those cancers multiple times and each time either creme or cut them out has worked. As long as you monitor yourself well and take care of it you should be great! I hope you have a wonderful year!!

Southampton General is one of the best hospitals round. My brother had a major operation there. He had a tumour in his oesophagus. His operation was about 5 to 6 hours. His surgeon was fantastic. You wouldn't get any better even if you went private. I've had a couple of operations as well, and they amazes me just how great they are. Love your home vlog, seeing Bonnie again. xx

Hi Rogan and Benji, when you do have your surgery can I give you a little information. My husband had a triple bypass 11years ago now and my best advice would be if you need to cough get a towel and roll it up and when you want to cough put the towel right up to your chest and give it a big hug as you cough it really helps with the pain. Hope all goes well. Love you both. Xx

So glad the skin cancer got caught early! as a fellow extra fair skinned person I know I stress lots over making sure I've always got sunscreen on/stay out of the sun as much as possible. Happy your spot of it is clearing up

Sending the biggest hugs from 1 Cardio patient to another. In June last year i had to rush to hospital and was diagnosed with Heart Failure, AF and my heart was only functioning at 20%. They have thankfully corrected my AF for now and waiting on results of my latest ECG to see how the function is going. When in hospital i was thinking of you Benji and all you had gone through and thought we can do this. I've been wondering how you were going. Yes fatigue is so bad! Will be thinking of you.

Aww Brogan! I lost my Dad to terminal cancer Feb 2022. He was diagnosed in September 2021 had 6 months to live I was lucky to live with my dad he made the decision he wanted to be at home to die. I have never been through such a Traumatic time in my life before, I'm now 28 seeing you're dad getting wobbly on his feet signing of work not driving ect all these things and you know in you're heart you have to keep going I was a working full time as he was getting weaker and weaker at home his sister (my aunt) moved from Oxfordshire to Norfolk to be at home with him whilst I worked it's definitely had a huge impact on me and made me realise what's really important to me ❤️❤️❤️ all my love to you and benji my darling.

Gosh I’m so sorry that both of you have had such a hard year. I know there were lots of highs but also lots of lows. I never know what to say as cancer is a bit triggering for me with my mom who had a tumor in her heart. A little tip from her surgery is when you get his hospital bag ready get any items that are easy for him to put on without having to bend over. Such as slippers, sweat pants, and zip up hoodies (as he’ll have a wound in front) no need for T-shirts. With being the organization queen you might already know all this but just in case. Hi guys, HNY to you both. I wanted to let you both know that Southampton are absolutely brilliant at the type of surgery Benji is going to have. One of my Mum’s friends had the exact same thing a few years ago & she has made a full recovery. To try & reassure you both this lady was late 50’s when she had her op. Very good luck with benjis surgery when it happens. My husband had open heart surgery at Southampton, and also had benign tumours in his heart. It could actually be the same surgeon that Benji is having. Apparently it was a rare condition and they filmed the surgery. My husband was fine after the long surgery. His problem came later when he had keyhole surgery for something else and had a clot which stopped his heart☹️. He was ok in the end but has since passed away with something else. Poor Benji is very young to be having to go through this. Soooo good to see Bonnie! I’ve recently got a cavalier King Charles spaniel, after sadly losing my little beloved older dog. So I now have a little cuddle buddy like Bonnie ❤. Love your home vlogs, they are my favourite 👍
