I feel your pain, Trid. I’ve had 2 back surgeries (1st to fuse L3 to S1, 2nd to replace the hardware 6 months later after it loosened from having 2 knee surgeries). Back pain is life altering and no joke. Have lived with it for over 30 years, 28 of those in severe pain! Take care of yourself, and hopefully have a Very Merry Christmas!

I have had many back and neck fusions, also a shoulder replacement and 2 hip replacements, 1st one wasn't successful so had a 2nd 6 months later 😭. Pain is no joke! Even with all the surgeries I'm still in pain 24/7. Trid, feel better. Ice your back. Take anti inflammatory. I hope your feeling better! Happy holidays to you and your beautiful family.

Lumbar injury, TRID. Sitting up: Must always place small pillow at the lower back, ball curve of your spine-to support the weight from waist up, while relieving the pressure/tension of muscles surrounding injured spine Lying down: Must place large bulky pillows directly under the knees (same principle of maintaining the natural anatomical curve of the spine, pressure/tension relief) Lying on either left/right side: Must place a pillow between the knees, same principle applies. Please remember doing these at all times, even long after injury has repaired and completely healed. I take care of my 97 y/o granny, she has never complained of any back pain-because this is orthopaedically correct.

One year I was putting up Christmas lights in a tree in the yard and I fell out of the tree & landed flat on my back. Luckily there was enough snow I wasn't seriously hurt, but I did knock the wind out of myself. I hope Trid feels better soon!

Oh man, I had a similar one. I was cutting fresh lilacs to line the isle for a wedding I was going to officiate in a couple hours. I was up on my ladder cutting flowers off the top of the bushes when I slipped off the ladder, fell, big garden shears in hand, and landed sideways knocking the breath out of me. But the eight inch garden shears were pointed at my face in just such a way so the tip of the blades stopped on one of my teeth. If I had fallen head first I would have probably died. I was in so much pain during the wedding. hahaha.

Yesterday we got our tree in the house without event. I was prone on the floor (60 yr old men don't like to squat with bad knees). I was holding the trunk with my right hand a couple of feet up the trunk, with my left hand at the base, ready to tighten the screws to hold it firm. My wife was stepping back to get a better view of the tree to make sure it was straight and give directions to me if it needed adjusting. However, the second she stepped back, she tripped and fell over, her head bouncing off a nearby chair arm, her ribs hitting an ottoman, turning her so her other ribs hit the floor. I kept asking if she was alright. After some time she yelled back that she needed a minute and why didn't I just look over to see if she was OK. I said two reasons. First, if I rollover, the tree will fall down and with out luck it will fall on both of us. Second, when she tripped over me, her knee landed in the middle of my back and my left leg from my hip to my toes was tingling. She took hold of the tree, the tingling stopped, we both were mostly mobile, so we each toasted our water glasses as we took a muscle relaxer pill and called it a night. Next day, we are OK but very sore. We got the tree decorated, but at a cost because we were now very sore. Since we didn't want to take more pills a second day in a row, we both had a scotch instead. Merry Christmas and may your health improve!

Got hurt at work 15 years ago unloading barrels from trucks. Hospital just gave me a shot and some pills and told me to leave, no imaging done at all. 15+ years later, I'm finding out I am still heavily injured in my spine and in need of surgery. Make sure that you take care of yourself and have good medical care, because that pain doesn't ever go away if it is ignored by people.

You never realize how one thing gets injured and it affects everything. I was in a bad car crash when I was 22. The ER said nothing was wrong. Later it was determined that I had actually broken my tailbone. And it never healed properly. Now in my 50’s I’m in constant pain.

I know definitely you will go and get it checked but sometimes we don't as we think it is not that serious. An aunt of mine fell down and hurt her back and after six months or so she had a very bad back pain and went to the doctor to only know that she had a tumor due to the fall and it was too late for her to be treated. Dont want to scare you but wanted you to know about it. Please get it check even if you think you will be alright

I flail in my sleep and gave myself a rib subluxation. Which is very painful.. Rib subluxations mean that the rib slips out of place but does not fully dislocate; it maintains some contact with the joint. Rib dislocation would mean that the rib completely separates from the joint. They can both be very painful. I had to go to the chiropractor to get the rib back in place.

I was about 16 years old when I was replacing the tape on my hockey stick. we using about a 4 inch pocket knife to remove the tape. And I ended up running the Knife into Thumb muscle. How about 2 inches in. I couldn’t bring myself to pull in the knife out of my thumb so White licked my hand to get some nice out. It was a stupid mistake but I learn my lesson. Never go in towards body parts always go out away from them.

I feel your pain Trid. Just last week I strained an oblique muscle on my left side, from a cough. This week it feels fine, but then I ordered food; went to pick it up from the porch; my left foot slipped out from under me (it was raining); I catch myself before falling but I pulled another muscle in my back on my right side. Now it hurts to sit, bendover, poop, laugh, sleep, cough, sneeze, and fart (individually, not all at once). P.S. Let me get one of those "Woozy Pills".

I used to injure my back every finals week, studying nonstop. I would sit down and not get up for 5 hours, hunched over my books (nearsighted). Rough part was I attended college 10+ yrs. If I wasn't studying I was at work hunched over my desk. One job handed out one inch horse pills (painkillers) at the nurse's station. I took one, hit the curb on the way home, flattened my tire and I watched my hubcab fly under a pinetree. Rush hour, couldn't go back for hubcap, tire or whatever smoking, next intersection gas station. Guy put my spare on. I went home and sought out a chiropractor who taught me to build my core.

My back went out when I was 18 from picking up my baby and now I've had over 20 surgeries in the last 20 years, (I'm 46) my neck is fused from C1-T2, my lumbar is fused from L3-S1, both SI joints, an iliac artery Stent, spinal cord stimular with battery pack in my butt cheek and many more! See an excellent chiropractor: in 2004 I ruptured 2 discs in lower back, one to the worst possible degree. Neurologist said 95% of those types of injuries required surgery, but she gave me two weeks to see how it went with the chiropractor I was seeing. Two weeks later she said I was making good progress and to keep doing what I was doing. Within 3 months of working with that chiropractor, I was back to normal.🙏🏼🙌🏼

Aiyo, TRID! Back injuries are not fun. I have a t-shirt that says "I do all my own stunts", which generally involves walking into things or falling over things. Thankfully, the worst injury I've had was also the lamest injury I've had. I broke the very tip of my left index finger by closing it in my car door. I then performed interpretive dance around the garden trying not to swear. I still get laughs and teasing from that story.

I hope you heal fast TRID. I injured my tailbone years ago I was maybe 18 or 19 and I'm going on 36 in March and I still hurt. I was at a Christmas event at my aunt's work and just took pictures with Santa with my little sisters and they had Santa in a trailer. As we were walking out of the trailer and down the steps my foot slide and I fell flat on my tailbone. Good thing at this event they had paramedics there so someone ran and grabbed them and they helped me up and got me seated with an ice pack for awhile. I was still in so much pain my parents ended up taking me to the ER. Thank God my tailbone wasn't broken. I was in so much pain I couldn't sit. It was before Christmas too so I was in bed for a few weeks watching movies with an ice pack on me. To this day though I still hurt and have more back problems. But to take pictures with Santa I fell and injured my tailbone. I'm thankful it was after the pictures though and not before. I love watching your videos you two are always making me laugh.

I decided to cut my lunch break short one day because I wanted to get a leg up on this large truck permitting spreadsheet that was emailed to me. I was outside at my vehicle at the time so I left to go back into the office building. And Crap! I forgot my badge to get inside. So I hurried down the stairs and then turned on the jets. Now I wasn’t running as fast as Derrick Henry but I was running just as hard. I don’t know why I was trying to run as fast as I could. I cut the sidewalk and my leg planted. I should have known something was seriously wrong because the enormous spill had me facing the exact direction from where I was coming, and I couldn’t feel my right leg from the waist down. First came the adrenaline, then the ambulance, then an hour later, excruciating pain, the X-rays (crazy pain), then the doctor/surgeon telling my that I had broken my hip. 2020, what a year!

Once I was cooking and I sneezed and threw my back. The pain was so much that it shock up and down my spine... I howled like a wolf. My wife didn't know whether to laugh or help... So since then she calls it my werewolf sneeze... I was in bed for 6 days..

I am a hobbyist blacksmith. When I was in my 40's, I had to move an anvil. My wife told me to get my teenage son and daughter to help me. I gave her this speech about how I know I'm getting older, so I know that I need to be more careful. I will be okay moving it by myself. Then I proceeded to reach around the anvil stand - a tree stump - and try to lift the anvil at a bad angle with only my arms. That hurt. I know your pain, Trid. Get well soon.

What happened? Haha... awww poor buddy. When I was a kid, like 11, I lived in the mountains and we were making a driveway. My dad made me move a tree trunk way way to big for me and I did the same thing. It still hurt sometimes. Just, make sure you let it heal all the way. Was it a pulled muscle, ripped muscle, or a disc issue?

I woke up during my colonoscopy as well. I got so scared that I quickly signaled the doctor that I am up. But, I didn't feel much as the anesthesia didn't worn off yet.
