Broken Luggage Wheel DIY Replacement

My 9 year old lugagge's wheels already needed replacement.
Luckily, replacement wheels are not very expensive and I was able to replace them by myself before my scheduled business trip. 😊

Hi. I just bought mine in an online shop here in the Philippines. Please try to search "luggage wheel replacement" in google to see the available parts in your country.

Hi@@AcousticHive. I got some wheels with bearings (all the way from China) and have now put installed all four. Hack sawing through the metal shaft on each wheel was by far the hardest bit (its difficult to know how much progress you are making, and the saw easily cuts into the plastic around the wheel). But its all done now, so I just need to book a trip so I can give the new wheels a work out. Thanks again for your helpful video and advice.

I think both the original and the replacement are 40mm diameter.

Honga po. Kala ko kailangan ko na din po bumili ng bago. Hehe Medyo matagal lang po maglagare pero sulit naman po. 😊

What size and axle length did you buy for your luggage?

Not possible to remove the wheel by a normal Hand Saw, its need Electric Hand Saw, otherwise you need whole night to cut one wheel. Because it is completely made by steel and very hard.
