TheRunningPanda I know ***** slowed your roll (lol) but I do want to have a little debate on your tier list! (for funsies) :) First of all, being a Nova point player for going on two years now... He is not top 5, maybe 7th through 9th. He has tons of pros (can convert off of pretty much anything with ease, simplistic undroppable 650k BnBs, great air mobility, fantastic hard tag synergy with several assists, etc...) but he's a verrrry predictable character, Xfactor makes it VERY hard to do long combos with air extensions on small or normal sized characters (on most screen positions, not all), he has a special and a super that consume red-life, and he has several set-ups and specials that are NOT safe on block. At this point in the games' life (where the tech is just getting outrageous) Dormammu belongs much higher up. His assists are simply okay (I'm partial to an Inferno Liberation here and there XD That assist gives any character an OTG, which opens tons of options), but he has IMMENSE utility, has unblockable set-ups on incoming characters with many different assists, he can poke and zone while also having the option for a seriously intimidating rushdown, etc... but, the most important for me are his BnBs that do serious damage while also being VERY easy to execute and are light on meter: With no assist and 3 charges (inferno) he can drop 850k, with meteors it's closer to 750k, and his Xfactor combos can top 2.5m with ease. (the first two are one meter combos) Chaotic Flame is (If I remember correctly) the 2nd fastest traveling super in the game behind either Ryu or Akuma (I can't remember which) that allows him to do full screen setups that use 4 inputs and do comparable damage to full BnB strings on a number of characters. His standing S and M have insane durability (for normals) and soak projectiles... I could go on and on (ohhh that Dark Matter teleport mixup...). I'd also like to add that he can OTG in three different ways, which gives him the option to call assists at differing points in his combos. This opinion was only formed recently when I sat down for some serious time in the lab/online play and worked him out. His ground mobility is atrocious (no wave dashing :c) and his standing L will not connect at certain distances, but you should be super dashing down when initiating anyway which will allow L to hit (after air H) anyone that isn't Rocket or Amaterasu. I'm surprised Trish made your list. She can be a fantastic character for online heroes, but in competitive play she falls behind tremendously, probably because any of the popular characters (Doom, Vergil, Zero and Magnus namely) can shit all over her. Viper I'm not going to badmouth :P This is BT after all and she's MarlinPie's gurrrrrlll. Why do you have Dante so low? He does have stupid scaling on pretty much all of his combos, but to me, he's similar to Magnus: You're going to have to land a ton of hits and most likely DHC or Xfactor in order to kill, unless you can get 3 meters (which for those two characters is very easy) or pull some unbelievable Yipes TM reset. Mine: top 5: Zero, Vergil, Magneto, Morrigan, Doom (I threw up in my mouth a little while typing that last one). top 10: Dorm, Nova, Wolvie, Spencer, Dante top 15: Strange, Sentinel, Skrull, Akuma, Hawkeye Also, a shout-out to Storm for being the best low tier character that I have ever seen played... aside from Iron Fist, which also happens to come from the Evil Genius himself, Mr. Justin Wong.

Nova does come up short in some aspects but his 'predictable' dash can be very tricky once you start playing mind games with it, very over looked character when it comes to being Top 5 or even 10 at times. And yes X factor lv 3 Is a bit tricky and hard to land combos with... wich is why he is best as point or mid. very rare i get stuck with him as anchor. But when i do its so randomly played that it just works out sometimes lol. Luck aside, his placement can be argued over 5th-7th palce, that i can agree with. As for dorm, i will admit i Did place him to low. He deserves to 6th-10th place. I just havent played a good dorm in a while :P Trish places top 15 since imo shes is very underestimated as a point character same goes for viper. I can outline most of the reasons why but im kind of pressed on time atm. Though i cant help but point out Doom being in 5th? i could understand 6-10th, DOOM in many aspects comes up short as well. sure he can randomly convert combos into major damage and has great assist but his approach can be very predictable as well. I find myself fighting doom the same way i do hulk. It sounds weird but all you need is patience and pick your opening. XL3 also becomes hard to play with since doom cant dash very well, meaning most of his rushdown has to come from the air. Very easy to predict. There is alot of characters that Doom fallls short to including Low tiers like Cap, Sent, Strange, Akuma, Iron Man, Joe, ect. Like you with NOVA, i have played doom for a couple of years but i cant place him on 5th. And yes i have gotten my ass handed to me by storms before. Floating around until you get to happy with assist calling....and all your team has been KOd by Ice... lol.
