I get horrible bronchial coughing long after my cold or sinus infection has past. It’s very frustrating!!! I know I’m not contagious at that point but I cough so hard, ppl think Im dying of the plague.

Attention to all people who smoke weed frequently I’ve done a lot of research and the best thing I can let you guys know since I’ve suffered a lot is be very careful when smoking weed too much especially from a bong because when you inhale you don’t need to keep it inside your lungs that actually does more damage than good hence bronchitis

Bronchitis is a real bitch. I don't smoke anything, but I live out in the country. After the first time going to the doctor for it, (which all she told me was the OTC meds, other generic stuff and then charged me $100), I decided to stick with a protocol that has helped me. The coughing is hell. The fatigue is very bad. Stress exacerbates it. Staying offline is key. I find it's more calming and soothing to watch funny TV movies or sitcoms. I'm not a doctor. Just an average woman. 1. Drink a lot of water. 2. Get a lot of sleep. (all that coughing is very draining). 3. Sleep with your head elevated. 4. Take about 1-2 thousand milligrams of Vit C a day. 5. 60 ML of elderberry syrup daily (it's anti-vital) . Buy if from your chiropractor if you can. 6. Keep cough drops on hand if your throat is sore. 7. Good old fashioned honey, lemon and whiskey is a good one. Helps you sleep as well. 8. If it's hot outside, vary your AC. Some people don't do well with AC blasting at their head. 9. Take Robitussin, don't overdo it, many have found it kills their sense of taste. 10. An OTC inhaler helps some. 11. Limit your talking. Stay off the phone. Rest your vocal chords if you can. 12. Stretch your chest and upper body with some yoga postures. Loosens up phlegm. 13. 2 or 3 drops of oregano oil in a dixie cup of water is good for your lungs. 14. Liquid garlic or garlic tabs helps the process. You'll stink though. I hope this helps some people. These are things you can do if you don't have a lot of money, can't go out. Most of these items you can buy online.

I’m literally at the hospital and was giving this diagnosis but wasn’t happy with the dr quick response however after watching this doc was right and I can at least rest easier knowing I wasn’t being hurried along. I’m an avid marijuana smoker, and I get acute bronchitis about every 4-5 months. To any of you who do smoke weed, don’t inhale too deeply, and do not hold the smoke in your lungs. Doing this will cause you to get bronchitis much more frequently.

I get bronchitis almost every year around this time & I'm always around people & I've never had anyone get sick after being around me. Point is, I don't think its contagious.

I can personally confirm, if you get bronchitis don't bother going to the Doctor. I had severe acute bronchitis, my doctor recommended the same damn thing, a list of over the counter medications, along with a list of home remedies, she said "antibiotics won't work but thank you for stopping by, please pay your bill on the way out." Thanks for nothing!!! I was sick for 2 months!!!!

For the treatment of Bronchitis, normally a broad-spectrum antibiotic is prescribed. No analysis is done for the identification of the specific bacteria or virus that has caused it, to address it, instead of tests and trials method. Is what being practiced is correct? If not, what should be the path to treat Bronchitis effectively and efficiently?

Just a quick question. I found out yesterday that i'm diagnosed with bronchitis. I got my meds, using them already but, i want to know. I was suffered from tuberculosis in 2006 and after 4 years back in 2010 I bleed v.badly.When I was admitted to my doctor he told me the infection was there on the area of the lungs where tb was found in before a past year, even continuosly in colder times I gets blood in my spit. Can you tell that, the reason why it happens & is it possible to bleed in spit while bronchitis. And is there any home remedies for cure, Doctor?

All her information was basic and given very reluctantly. What over the counter meds? She refused to name any specific medications or remedies. Plenty of better informative videos on youtube. Doctors want $$$ to keep you coming back. Please do more research people. There are plenty of people online that have been through this and are happy to sincerely bless others with knowledge.
