@Lovetheducks
@Lovetheducks Ай бұрын
@@hsienen a little bit of both. First Bronny is a video gamer not a NBA player he doesn’t have it. Jordan never forced his son. I’m sure wasn’t easy being a Jordan. Jordan believed in hard work. I can’t believe he would have ever pulled strings like this. This is something only Lebron would do. Nepotism exists but this is next level. Before I got involved in my family business once I was done golfing. My father would not hire me. He made me go find a job work my way up and then once proven myself I came to work for him. Even still I had to once again start at the bottom and work my way up. Even with that I was still looked at as I’m where I’m at because of my dad not all the hard work I put in. Lebron took that from bronny. Bronny knows he doesn’t belong or deserve that spot I’m sure. Puts him in horrible position. This isn’t bronny’s fault this is all Lebron. It’s sickening he cares more about being the first at something rather than letting his son find his way.

I feel like I've got it figured out. The money to Bronny isn't for Bronny. Its to offset the money LeBron himself would have received when he took a pay cut. The money stays in the family, and they have more flexibility putting said money into another player, who will mostly be in the G League. I guarantee there is some financial benefit to it without knowing how two-way players impact cap space, or how max players factor in the aprons. I might be off base, but too many (hopefully) smart people are involved here.

It's not just bronny, it's most of the American top basketball players. They grow up being leagues above other players, they also get way better training then the average kid. These players don't need to know how to play basketball, they can just blow past a kid and yam the ball. Until they get to D1 or Pros, they've never had adversity. I use to be an assistant trainer for a athletic performance program for a high end gym that has trained professional athletes and Olympians. We would see this a lot, some kids has wealthy parents and paid us a lot of money to weight train them, and they paid a lot of money for a sport specific, skills coach. These kids would be leagues ahead of normal kids with just high school weight training. But once they got to D1, or D2, the other kids would get somewhat similar trainings, or they would face other kids that got the better training growing up, and they no longer shine.

@@MegaMjjordan yea, I probably just explained it bad. The rich kids grow up being top of their sport, until college. Once in college, the poor kids get that same higher end level of training as the rich kids did in middle and high school, now the poor kids ball the fuck out, and you see some high ranked rich kids really fizzle out in college. Obviously this isn't the reason every single time, but it has its place. Take kids like snoop dogs son, and Diddy's son, they were like 5 star commit football players, and they probably also got elite 1 on 1 training since they were in like elementary school, but once in college there's a lot of other kids getting that same level of training too

This is a different breed of nepotism, and it sounds like I'm hearing duplicity here. Lebron is actually ruining his son's opportunity to be his own man and find his own way in life, and this is making everyone, including the Lakers organization look bad, so there definitely is something wrong with nepotism as it applies in this situation. Add to that, the Lakers haven't been able sign one major free agent speaks volumes!

I don’t understand how people can be ok with nepotism. Maybe it’s because the people that are ok with it haven’t been affected by it so they don’t get how fucked up it is and how it ruins businesses. If Lebron really “loved basketball” or “respected the Lakers” he wouldn’t have disrespected them by using his power to lower standards just to get his son in the league and help his legacy. It’s selfish and it’s a slap in the face to people who deserved that spot or any spot taken by nepotism. You’re supposed to leave the game better than when you entered it and this ain’t it.
