GI Joe #21 is (in my opinion) the best comic book since the golden age.

I was at Revolution Comic Con in Los Angeles (Ontario) today and heard a story about the famous #21 Snake Eyes 'Silent issue'. For decades collectors were aware of first (obviously) and 3rd Printings, but no copies with "2nd Printing" listed in the indicia had ever turned up. Eventually the community sluthed out that the entire run of 2nd printings of issue 21 went to press without the "2nd Printing" notice in the indicia and some of those second printings are the only copies of #21... that went into these toys r us 3-pack (and 5-pack?) bags which always contained reprints. So if you have an original unopened multi pack with an issue 21 inside it is the only way to identify a 2nd printing of issue 21 making those one of the rarest and most valuable variants to come out of the line. TLDR : if you find a multi pack with issue 21 inside -- please do NOT open it, haha. (I heard this from the guy who has used kickstarter to publish a few volumes of extensively researched GI Joe comic book reference guides. They published an entire reference book just on all the variants and reprints of issue 21 and references to the issue that come up in later issues. THE HISTORY OF G.I. JOE ARAH #21 AFTER ACTION REPORT BOOK)
