Meet the Bronze Cowboy, who excels at pretending to be a park bench bronze statue.
One of the unique aspects of this street performer, is firstly he does not consider himself a street performer, he tries to excel at pretending to be a statue, only moving if someone touches him in some way.
Secondly, to help keep the convincing illusion that he is a statue, he does not have any kind of donation hat or bucket, which usually lets people know he is a street performer.
But even though this is a video of a street performing living statue bronze cowboy, it's actually a love story spanning 27 years.

♥♥ THIS IS HIS STORY ♥♥
You see 27 years ago I was 24 and she was 19. It was truly love at first sight and for three years I journeyed back and forth to Greece from America despite being unable to afford it.
But she was my life then. For years we planned our future together but her family stood in our way. Then on my last trip to see her I found that her family's happiness was more important than her own. That is a dramatic story on its own as I had flown to Greece for the last time to find myself alone. I needed answers.
I knew she would be taking the train to work and I waited and
until she arrived. She stepped out of the train and I was there... She said it was over... I got on my knee and proposed again for the last time but it was over for us... in her world... The next morning I was on the plane back to America...alone.
I never heard from her again...
That was 27 years ago. I searched for a partner but I never found love again, not the love that I needed to feel to have to marry another.
So I never did and I remained single my whole life. I never forgot her but life went on. She went on with her life too. She even went to the UK and received a masters degree in English and when she returned to Greece she was ready to start a family. She married a man her father approved of. She would say it was convenience, either way.. It wasn't love. Her love was for me... always.
Then 23 years later along came Facebook and she found me.
I had forgiven her and was happy to hear from her. We remained friends and talked occasionally, but I am not a home wrecker and had no interest in anything more than friendship.
However, after a few years she confided in me that her feelings for me never changed and that she would change her life to have me back. I told her to take care of that first and then we'll see about us. I would have to leave the US and move to Greece since she would not be able to join me in America because of the girls.
Over the next year she sought to change her life and after an ugly divorce she asked me to come back for her. I did. By now I was 50 and on my 50th birthday I returned to Greece for the first time in a quarter century.
It was as though we never missed a day.
Scary is not an inappropriate description of the risk I faced. But that is what life is... risks, risks to have the happiness we seek.
Along the way I never planned how my future would unfold. It was just me. And in hindsight I wish I had done more to put myself in a better position in life but for us artists we usually end up starving as they say. Our work becomes more important than our future and we suffer as a result.
That is my, no, our story in a nutshell but it goes far beyond that.
Then the Bronze Cowboy story comes in and that is where things become unbelievable and unexpected. The fact that I was doing something so different, so unconventional, with my life than I ever imagined by performing as the Bronze Cowboy.
Performing, not for the money I thought it would bring, but because of the happiness and moments it created for others. I had never imagined it would become so important to my ability to follow my real dream.
